Denny's Restaurant

As I've said before (and in the interest of full disclosure), I am not really a fan of Denny's. However, for a Denny's, this location is pretty good. We were promptly greeted at the door and seated with a smile, our waiter provided great service, and the food was up to par with some of the better Denny's locations I've visited.

While this Denny's is pretty good, I'm rating it three-stars because there's nothing particularly knock-your-socks-off about this location. In addition to that, this former Shoney's needs an interior remodel and deep cleaning so bad it hurts. The dining room looks as if it's stuck in 1991--I had mentally compared it to being in my great-grandmother's dimly-lit living room--and the restroom had a smell that was even too raunchy for a locker room. Another little nitpicky thing: those ceiling speakers are in need of bass in the worst way. If they'd take care of these things, the place wouldn't be half as depressing.

Overall, the food is tolerable, and the service is decent. I'd probably stop here again.
