After almost 10 years of trips up the Eastern coast from Atlanta to visit family in the NE, we have finally found a place that is less than 10 minutes off the interstate, serves a quick, super delish, homemade, real food lunch that isn't pricey.
Highlights: Â Sandwiches were all yummy, priced from $4 - $7, cucumber wasabi falafel sandwich had a great bite; they offer sandwich press to make a wholesome croque monsieur with real ham, the kids loved it; cooked veggies with goat cheese wrap was so good.
Plus hot teas, interesting snacks, local ale/wines, penny candy, eclectic salvaged furniture. With four kids we were in and out in 20 minutes, and it was a healthy meal.
Will definitely plan to stop at The Depot next roadtrip.
This is JUST what Hillsborough needed. Â The space is eclectic, as are many of the wares. Â
Aside from the dance floor, there are open areas as well as cozier nooks. Â There is always craft beer on tap (along with numerous bottled brands), and a reasonable selection of wines. Â Folks here are uncannily friendly. Â They have excellent coffee. Â Â ...and weather permitting, there's almost always a (different) food truck out back.
I wish they still had their own food though!
