It was the first time staying the Adventure Inn, and I got a voucher for $50 for the beer garden, and used it with a big pleasure. The cold craft beer come in a big stein was great! Also, the service and entertainment left my family an unforgettable memory.
Here is another thing to mention- You'll love their service mind! Â My wife and I visited a farm near around and bought dozens of organic cage free eggs, and found out that we don't have any means to cook 'em. When I explained what's going on to the innkeeper, he gladly borrowed us an electric cooker and a big pod to boil the egg, and said; "It is most important to keep your wife happy."
I love this place, and I'm pretty sure to return to this place! The entertainment provided by the Inn and the beer garden was very nice, too! Recommended mostly for young couple, but still family friendly, too!
I love coming to this beer garden everytime I visit Leavenworth, Â The live music is always fun to listen to as you enjoy an ice cold beer. Â They have beer pong, plenty of tables and rom for dancing in front of the stage. Â Parking is fairly easy to find on the street if it isn't too busy, but it's usually always busy. I can't wait to come back!
Review Source:Great place for live music, and just relaxing in a true beer garden style. Â My dog loved hanging out while we enjoyed a couple of beers. Â The sandwiches are pretty yummy and it's cool how they have trivial pursuit boxes on the tables for those of us who don't want to play beer pong. Â We stayed at the Adventure Inn through a Living Social special-- would definitely return for the experience. Â I
Review Source:Good beer, casual atmosphere, and a friendly, welcoming staff. They keep the "Bavarian" theme with their great local beer and brats, without the overwhelming "Disney-World-does-Germany" theme park feel that smothers so much of Leavenworth. We were staying in the attached Adventure Inn while we spent a couple of days hiking and climbing, and ate here both nights. It was mid-week and off-season, so we were the only people in the indoor bar area, and we were welcomed like locals and treated like family. The next time we're in Leavenworth, this is where you'll find us, with brats and pints of Irish Death.
Review Source:I went St. Patty's Day weekend. The scene was a little too loud/over priced ($6.50 for well rum and cola) and dub-steppy for my taste (maybe the reason for the overpricing was the live music?) but I'm excited to come back when they don't have a DJ. There are board games and beer pong (at the time it was totally taken over)
Review Source:Great selection of beer. Peanut shells all over the floor. Â Employees paying ping pong. Free peanuts with a Yelp check in (not sure if this is still offered). Hit or miss performances by upcoming bands/individuals. Decent bar food. These are some things you will encounter on a summer or fall evening at Der Hinterhof. A nice experience that doesn't tie in much with the rest of Leavenworth. If you are bar hopping, you have to go. If you are looking for a peaceful evening and a quiet dinner, don't go.
Review Source:We went around Leavenworth as part of a pub crawl and Der Hinterhof is the best place to go in the town!
The place is, more or less, family run and serves both food and drinks of great standard. They had a decorative bar, cozy relaxed atmosphere, and even ping pong. They recently made an indoor section which is really incredible amid a winter in eastern Washington.
Bottom line: good beer and drinks, even cider on draft, great people, and live music.
Why haven't you stopped by yet? :)
Enjoyed some bier here during Oktoberfest. Fully enjoyed the facilities, lots of beer pong to partake in, cool bands to listen to, TV's inside playing the games, and met plenty of friendly Oktoberfest goers without paying a big cover. Thanks Der Hinterhof, I'll plan on returning next time Oktober rolls around!
Review Source:After taking part in a package deal from Living Social, I was able to experience Der Hinterhof. Initially I had a frustrating time inquiring about vegetarian options... and trust me I am aware this is an eyebrow raiser to a German establishment, I grew up in a German household... but after some trying phone calls and reviewing the menu, not only do they offer vegetarian they have vegan options. Yep. It may have just been a result of a ton of people in a large event that made special requests more difficult, but I would go back next time I am in town. The owner while gruff on the phone was actually a very nice, out going and accommodating.
We veg foodie people need to just have extra patience in a town where meat is King.
I would give this a better rating, however I had to guzzle my beer due to the fact some chick and her partner where choking us out with their cigars. Â They let you smoke everywhere even violating the 25' rule from doors and ventilation entrances. Â
Plus, the owner thinks the Bavarian theme of the town should not apply to him or his businesses. Â Maybe he should move his business to a more non-Bavarian theme friendly town like Cle Elum or Dryden?
This place is great! Stopped in town for Oktoberfest, but ended up spending way more time at this bar than anywhere else. Tons of beer on tap, decent pub fare, live music that is actually worth listening too, and above all else a great staff. Props to Sarah who gave us free wristbands for Oktoberfest entry, fixed my broken glasses, and then played guitar for us!
It's a nice break from the touristy part of town, and it's not filled with trash like some of the other bars...
If you are in Leavenworth, Der Hinterhof is a great place to go for a relaxed night of drinking and music. Â They feature beers from local breweries at a very affordable price, so it is a great chance to explore some different flavors from around the state. Â The overall atmosphere was very fun and it was a great respite from the bustle of the main street in the town. Â This place is also great for people watching as the crowd the night I was there had people of all ages and from all different backgrounds.
Review Source:If you mistakenly stop in this tourist trap of a town but hate shopping at christmas and candy shops, this beer garden might be your salvation! Kid friendly, dog friendly, live music, and cheap beer. These guys even let you bring your own food in case you don't find anything to your liking on their menu. Best of all--and I wish we would've been able to take advantage of this--you can hop on their shuttle to go float the icy river after boozing it up for a while!
Review Source:2012 update! This place is by far the best place in Leavenworth to hang out, listen to music, have a beer!! I will say it again and again. Â Everyone is friendly, the locals are great and the owners are amazing!
The Leavenworth Beer garden Der Hinterhof is our favorite beer garden in Leavenworth. Â They have the best selection of beer, great brat's and German sausages, Â ping pong or beer pong, live music on the weekends-a few different times of the day, the nicest staff in the whole town and it is huge so you don' t feel packed in like many of the other bars that are over crowded. Â
The owners Steve and Debbie are really nice. Â I would recommend this place to anyone because it is family friendly and you can ever bring your dog in. Â
The beer garden has a misting canopy for when it is hot and they will provide you with a bucket of ice to keep your beer cool in.
It is not on the main drag like most of the bars it is on
