If your bit a regular, don't expect for anyone to talk to you - even the bartender

Honestly, one of the worst gay bars in all of the Coachella Valley. I'm confused by what they were going for with the decor but the best word for it is "ghetto". In addition to the horrible decor, the place smelled like piss & lube when I walked in. Avoid the disgustingly dirty bathrooms at all costs!

Atmosphere was awkward unless you're a 50+ year old bear that's into leather (yes, I know some of you are), this place is not for you.

The worst part is I decided to order a drink from here & it was completely watered down. My drink doesn't need to be strong but I don't think I'm supposed to be tasting that much juice.

If at all possible, avoid this putrid waste hole. Your money will go further & better spent at a different venue.

That new DISCO thing, Friday night!  Suddenly I felt I was back at Oil Can Harry's in North Hollywood. It's nice to see this place coming alive. I have always enjoyed the country/western on Tuesdays and Saturdays here, but this came unexpected.

I found out about the Retro Friday through Facebook, decided to drop by. The dance floor was busy, people having fun, dim lights, go-go dancers and that shiny disco ball. The DJ's played quite a selection, of course the disco music, but also some late 60's and early 70's. Fun to watch everyone dance the original "Venus" and "Band of Gold" mixed with KC & Sunshine Band and many others. A little 80's was good too like New Order, Madonna, the 90's and 00's I didn't care for much but I understand they have to cater to all.

Big fan here, and will not miss the next 'Disco Friday'!

I've lived in Cathedral City for over a year and finally went for the first time about six weeks ago.  I'm not a bar person, so I've gone a few times in the early afternoons on Saturday.  Its an older crowd, but that's fine by me. Most everyone is very friendly.  They have free popcorn from an old fashioned theater machine.  My FAVORITE thing: they have Shock Top Belgian White on tap. Mmmmmm mmmmm good.  That's what's gonna keep me coming back.

They have all kinds of activities through the week, including a BBQ on Sundays.  I've never experienced them, but check out their website for more information.

It has a reputation as a dive bar, but I think its very clean and civilized.  Then again, I've never been there after sundown....

This review is for the only time I've been there which was this past Friday evening and so take that into consideration.

First off, worst cocktail I've ever had and I couldn't drink it.  Bitter and just fucking nasty.  My friend got the same as me and he said his was making him nauseous.   I am not a fan of karaoke and didn't know that was going to be the entertainment.  Strike two especially since the song selections these guys were attempting to belt out were old, old, and older.  Shit, I would have almost welcomed one of them singing New York, New York.

STRIKE THREE....God dammit!  And this is a really sore spot with me.  You see where it says this place is a GAY BAR?  Seemed that way when we got there but within about 20 minutes a group of 10 to 12 girls in their 20's came in dressed to the nines with heels, tons of makeup, and a whole lot of stinky perfume.  Hey, thanks a lot!  As Bruce Willis said to some chick in a movie, "I don't come down to the strip club where you work and knock the dicks out of your mouth."

    Not going back.

This place is always great!  Cerebral or corporal, DIGS has it all.  The art exhibit and wine tasting this afternoon was fabulous.  Will be back later for the Karaoke and then during the week for dance classes.  DIGS has always been a welcoming place to meet or hangout.

A very low key gay bar we can take our straight family and friends to. Kareoke on Fridays and a free pool tournament on Friday as well. Free pool all the time.

"I love this bar". From the time Tom and Marc acquired the bar they have made it truly a great gathering place. This is not a one note bar. You can stop by any night and there is something going on. Karaoke, Country Western and Latin dance lessons, Bingo with the Sisters, movie nights. Grab you partner on Saturday nights and head on out to DiGS it's the only bar that offers Country Western dancing, with hot men two-stepping and line dances thrown in for the fun of it.

This is also a place you can find many special events and parties. From Superbowl Sunday, Mardi Gras, Fundraisers for many good causes, Special dances on Pride Weekend and Gay Rodeo Weekend. The parties never seems to stop. This year the parties were extended to the patio with the opening of DiGS Dock Bar.

With all that goes on in this they keep light an fun. They welcomes any one that comes through their door. Stop in when you find yourself in the valley.

    It's my kind of place
Just walkin' through the front door
Puts a big smile on my face
It ain't too far, come as you are

My partner and I have been patrons of DiGS for several years now.  What use to be just a neighborhood bar, was transformed into a fun and happening place when Tom and Marc bought it a little over two years ago.  We love the ambiance and it's always being enhanced with new and innovating touches.  The patio has now become "DiGS Dock" with it's own satellite bar open on weekends and special events.  Thursdays are Soup Night, one of our favorites with John hosting.  And God bless Norman's talents at the grill with their Sunday free BBQ!  There is something for everyone - Laser Light show and dancing on Sunday evenings, Country Western dancing on Saturday night and Ballroom dancing on Thursday evenings.  There is so much more to see and experience.  Try it, you won't be disappointed.  And personally we feel each of the bartenders are fun to be around and add their own special touch of fun and humor behind the bar.  Hope to see you there.  We're the cute couple at the end of the bar.  :-)

I love DiGS.  It has something for everyone.  From free Salsa and Two-Step lessons to Movie Nights and Live Comedy.  The boyz who own this bar go to the Nth degree to support the community.  From a lesbian comedy tour to some pig-sex boy-party, they are behind it with all their hearts!  They buy all the props for a carnival night and they create entire Wii tourneys or an old school cake walk... these boyz will be there... heart and soul.  I love your passion:
From the token dyke in town.  Thankx

Okay it was 8pm on a Wednesday...however this place was not very friendly. It had a nice smoking patio, but the over all vibe was just local bears with their cubs.

This is the gayborhood bar for the Cat City crowd. It is a good size and intimate at times, but can also be packed full of some of the friendliest people in town. A weekly (Saturday) country-western night is a favorite of mine and my drinking/dancing companion. CW lessons are offered on Tuesdays and Ballroom lessons are available on Thursdays. This is a great alternative to the LA/Arenas crowd which can be a bit much at times. Grab your favorite guy or meet some new ones at this hidden gem in Cathedral City.

No reviews for this bar?? Really?? Well now I feel a bit weird being a straight woman and writing the first review. But I just have to!

Came here on Sunday afternoon when we needed an escape from the 114 degree Palm Spring's heat!

This place is spacious, clean and the bar staff is friendly. Shared a few pitchers of beer and some of the popcorn from their popcorn machine with friends. Oh and if you guys don't know about the free BBQ on Sunday...now you do. A very pleasant surprise indeed...

Didn't stay for the Karaoke but I'm sure its a lot of fun. I mean they even have props and an assortment of wigs on hand. Yes, of course we tried the wigs on...what kind of silly people would we be if we hadn't??!!
