Yes it is in a strip mall, and yes it is small, but everything about the food is world class. I am from the California Bay Area so I have a pretty good idea what good Chinese food is all about and Ding How's does not disappoint. I find eveything to be cooked, seasoned, and prepared to perfection. Even when a recipe they are using may not be one of my favorites, the excellent preparation wins me over.
Having said that the food is excellent I should also add that the staff are very professional and pleasant. All in all I would give Ding How's a 5 star recommendation where it not for their dismal setting.
This was second time I come to this restaurant. What is wrong with this restaurant ?! Just finished dinner there. Ordered Korean noodle soup and waited 40 minutes to serve. A lot of customer after me got food already. Â The final cookie come with a sticky plate?! What is that? Spitting?! Â The waitress said it is wet. Â OK , sticky wet. Race discrimination? Because I am Asian? Â I will never ever come to this restaurant again !!!
Review Source:You might not know what to expect from a tiny restaurant located in a Liberty Lake strip mall, but Ding How offers up delicious food and budget friendly prices.
The sushi was great, some of the best we've had around the Spokane area. It was fresh, flavorful, a generous sized roll, and the price seemed fair. The general tso chicken was awesome! Stood apart from the usual all-tastes-the-same variety you find at so many places. This seemed to be made to order and was a real highlight of our meal.
To be fair, the pad Thai is lacking, the flavor just wasn't there. Something was going on with the seasoning that wasn't authentic, traditional, or pleasing. Pad thai is a staple, so I was kinda sad to see them miss the mark on this one. But just like Meat Loaf said "Don't be sad....cause two out of three ain't bad."
Still a fan - many meals there now - one problem that needs to be corrected and maintained...the men's bathroom...it's relatively clean, except for the back of the door...yeah, it is sticky and dirty with who knows what... and this likely comes from the cooks and prep cooks, not the customers...sheesh - gross...please make sure that you keep ALL of bathrooms spotless - so important...we may not return because of this issue.
Review Source:I won't go here again. My husband and I were craving Chinese take out and got beef fried rice, chicken fried rice and Mongolian beef like everyone recommended and they were flavorless and blah. My husband lost his appetite and didn't eat anything for dinner. We drove from Hayden too based on the reviews! Never ever again.
Review Source:We have been to Ding How a couple of times while being out in the Liberty Lake/Post Falls area and we enjoy it every time we remember its out there. The service was fast, and they have a nice variety of asian food ranging from sushi to junk asian. The food is a bit pricey for the latter, but you do get a pretty big portion. If you are ever are in that neck of the woods you should check out Ding How!
Review Source:I recently moved here from Seattle. Â I would travel to Vancouver BC just for a great Chinese dinner. Â I thought, a strip mall chinese food place? Â Yeah, sure. I tried it and was very pleasantly surprised. Â The chicken fried rice is fantastic. Â The mongolian beef is very good, but still not as good as my favorite international district chinese food favorite in Seattle. Â But it is right up there. Â I have been going back, going back and going back.
Review Source:Don't let Ding How's unassuming exterior put you off. Â Inside this small and cozy restaurant is a world of Asian cusine that begs to be explored. Chinese master chef Bin Sun and his wife, Yi, offer some of the freshest and most authentic sushi in the area. Â The fish is always like right off the boat, combined with delicate seasonings and sauces. Â Bin has some of the highest standards for fish of any sushi chef known to me. Â Having eaten sushi up and down the West Coast, I say this with ease.
But don't stop at the sushi.  Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai...all on the menu, done  to a level of perfection, second to none.  Take your time, go often, and savor the delightful assortment of Asian culinary delights that Ding How has to offer.  You won't be disappointed.  Easy to get to, and parking is abundant and free.
Things started off most impressively with the egg flower soup, wonderfully drizzled with sesame oil, which along with crunchy (not soggy) cabbage strips and carrots we could actually taste, added up to something amazing indeed. When our California roll arrived, I realized that I'd inadvertently asked for the hand roll instead of the cut roll. It was big and a little unwieldy, resembling a crab-stuffed seaweed waffle cone. We passed it back and forth taking bites, but neither one of us ended up very much in love with its excessively gloppy crab salad and slightly tough and chewy nori.
Our dinner combos arrived sadly less-than-hot and with the little hot mustard dishes stuck awkwardly right atop our piles of rice. My sweet-and-sour chicken was adequate taste-wise but odd; a sticky pink glaze minimally dribbled over abnormally shaped pieces. A rubbery texture made my Cashew Nut Chicken a bit of a bummer, although the sauce had a fine, spicy flavor and the veggies were passably crisp. My friend's General Tso's Chicken was quite good, but we both thought our fried rice had a slight burnt-oil edge, and our servings of BBQ pork were best described as wee.

Came here on a snowy winter night and what a lovely little respite tucked away in the most unlikely of places--a strip mall next to the Liberty Lake Albertsons.
The fish is very fresh. All the nirigi I ordered was delicious. The rolls tend to have a lot of the California crab mix in them which isn't my favorite and some of the sauces they use a bit much but in general, I liked the rolls on their menu.
The space is cozy and you would never guess you're in a strip mall once you get inside.
Their menu is outstanding as it serves all different Asian foods, thai, chinese, japanese, etx. Â Great atmosphere, Â Great food!
They are a bit pricey if you dont order the lunch specials and there is no kids meal, so if you go for dinner plan on spending 10+ for your younger child unless they share with another.
My buddy and I love crab won tons...so when he told me these were the best ever I had to go. Â That was 5 years ago, and I got at least once a month since then. Â Their food is awesome! Â The sushi is hands down the best I've had in the area. Â Get the Washington Roll...mmmm my favorite. Â The sesame chicken is somehow made from honey and so good, Â The tangerine beef has magical powers! Â It really is my favorite place after living in Spokane for 30 years and having eaten everywhere.
