Great location, right on the river. Â Very large restaurant and an even bigger bar. Â It was a Tuesday Night, so it was pretty dead, but I could tell the place would be cool if it was a busy night.
My buddy had a steak, and I assume it was good because he didn't say a word while he ate it! Â I had the perch (a new item on their menu) and was disappointed. Â It kind of tasted like the perch was made at lunchtime, and kept under the warmer until I ordered it. Â It was kind of odd that they served our martinis in old fashioned glasses, but they were still good.
Victoria gave us great service, and I would definitely go back, but skip the perch.
Well, Survivor is about to start, so I gotta go! Â Previously...on Survivor...
Wow - quite the throwback to the 80's - the 1780's including the original clientele. Â A great view of the water and a place that clearly gets by on that view. Â The food was OK, but nothing all that well done or interesting at all. Â We were in for lunch and my wife's chicken sandwich had interesting pieces of chicken with crunchy roasted red peppers (just not cooked enough) and melted cheese. Â She mentioned that Burger King might have made a better version! Â My daughter had a chicken wrap that she like ok. Â My shepherd's pie was likely the best of the group, but was a little cold. Â They do give you an insane amount of fries with the sandwiches, but they are the frozen ones that they throw in the fryer so most of them went in the trash. Â Probably a better place to go for a drink and see the view and eat elsewhere.
