Dona's Buffet

Amazingly good you will not be disappointed!! Curt is very friendly!! Dona is an exceptional cook..can't beat it plus theres a cute Christmas Shoppe a few doors down!! :) great place for locals OR off the beaten paths like us!! :)

Okay, so here's the solid on this little gem in Fremont, IN. New this year, and unique in that it's a buffet that's really not like a buffet.  It's more like you showed up at your favorite aunt's house right after she had an anxiety attack about what to fix for dinner, and unable to decide, she made two or three of her best home style dishes...fresh homemade soup, whipped up a salad bar and threw in some cookies as well!  The hard part is not stuffing yourself just sampling the chicken or beef and noodles, tacos, enchiladas, pot roast, meat loaf, cheesy potatoes, Italian dishes, turkey, chicken, ham dishes, vegetables, pastas, riblets.....well you get the idea!  The dishes rotate with two or three choices every day and it's fun just to see what are the treats for each day.  It's kind of a bonanza for people with a comfort food Jones.  Oh yeah...it's almost too reasonably priced to believe.  So, don't wait any longer....get to Dona's and indulge yourself with food like your Mom thought she made!!!  And don't worry...Auntie Dona will never tell you had seconds!!!

Buffet style home cooking. What's not to like? The prices are extremely reasonable and encourage one to sample the entire buffet (soup, salad, entrees). Everything I tried was delicious; had I not been so full after the first pass, I would have definitely gone back for more. The service was friendly and the place was squeaky clean. I dropped in while passing through town and will definitely keep this place in mind for the next visit.
