Doreens Backstreet Bar & Grille

My wife and I went for breakfast last Sunday. This place is a hidden gem. We were the only ones there and apparently the first arrivals because the cook had to warm up the grill to properly do our hash browns. They were the best!

I had the bacon, egg & cheese omelet. Wonderful. The staff couldn't have been more friendly.

By the way, beautiful views out the back window. Saw antelope while we ate.

Weekend nights it can be a biker hangout we have heard but have not been there since. We have heard their Friday nite fish fry is pretty good though.

It's been a year since I've been to this secret hideaway that mostly locals know about,  and Doreen's has been thru some ownership changes and chef changes.  The good news is....ITS STILL GREAT!!!  We went there (about 5 of us) we were the only customers in the restaurant (they had some folks in the bar section).  The chef waited on us, cooked our meals, and served us!  From the patty melt to the cobb salad, deelishious.  Anyone passing through beautiful Chino Valley should 'take the road less traveled' and give this place a whirl.

Haven't been in Doreen's since 2007 or 2008, can't remember now.

I try to go back 3 months ago, but they were closed for some reason. My friend and I looked in the windows and there were no signs to say why they were closed. It was around 1pm in the afternoon. And I've known this place to open early in the day.

But whatever....

Anyway, I have been there about 3-4 times since I have lived here in 2004. I liked this place. It's a fun place (at least from my last visit).

But I still can't understand why it was closed 3 months ago, on a Thursday afternoon.
