Can't miss! A great selection of tamales and sauces, including bison. Â I happen to like the bowling alley atmosphere. Â Adds to the surreal experience of a rockin' meal in Fairplay.

This place was well worth the drive!! I highly recommend the green pork tamale with red sauce - great!! The flavors are superb! We also enjoyed the Fresh Salsa and Chips. My husband loved the green chile. On top of the great food, we also enjoyed friendly service. Will definitely go back!!

Dorothy knows how to make some great tamales, hands down.

After a long day at Keystone we made our way over to Dorothy's Tamales after seeing the sign from the road with the hopes for some great tamales. Â We made the right choice. Â The menu had a great variety of tamales including veggie tamales along with many other options. The tamales had great flavor, were fresh, and you could even take some to go... Â I was told Dorothy, in her 70s still makes them using a recipe thats over 100 years old. They were unreal.

With that being said, I plan on stopping in each weekend I"m driving home from the ski resorts...They're that good.

Must try the tamales.........yes, it is attached to the bowling alley but the tamales are a must! Â They have been featured on The Food Network........you can't go wrong. Â Good selection of beers as well. Â If you enjoy your tamale's - Dorothy will not disappoint.

We showed up on a Wednesday afternoon. Of the six or so varieties of tamales on the menu they were out of 4 of them. So we each got one tamale and a dozen to go. They weren't bad but I doubt I'd make the drive for them again.
