  Your standard American-style chinese food.  Its a quiet restaurant, very clean.  The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable.  Service was fast.  Maybe not your 5-star place but worth a stop if you're hungry before heading over the mountain pass.

  The food is OK to good. Prices are great. The place needs a good cleaning, especially the bathroom(s). I am mystified as to why they put, what appears to be a residential apartment on the south end of the building and the restaurant on the north. The old Riverview Club which had its footprint on the same ground had fantastic indoor and outdoor views of the lovely North Santiam River. As far as Dragon Chinese Kitchen's use of a truly beautiful setting, it might as well be in an industrial park. Sad.
  
  Note: For those who care; they do not use MSG in any of their dishes.

  The Dragon Chinese Kitchen was my first exposure at a very young age to Chinese cuisine.  I am happy to report I enjoy going to this restaurant with my family for nostalgic reasons.  
  
  The food gets a passing grade for family style Chinese food and it is right next to the river in Lyons, Oregon.  If traveling on HWY 22 and you have a craving, go ahead and try it out.
