My husband and I were staying at Hat Creek in Old Station and drove into Burney each night for dinner. With Lassen being mostly closed still, we had time to make the 35 min. drive for dinner. The service was GREAT. The food was average - Â typical Chinese food. Waitress recommended sweet & sour chicken as opposed to the pork, and it was very good. She also made the change on the combination plate from pork to chicken without a charge. We enjoyed a window seat. The combination plates gives you about 2-3 normal servings sizes, which was more than enough food for us.
Review Source:This is Burney after all, so that being said, if you are old enough to remember eating chinese in the 60's? Â yeah it's like that. Â first off let me say great service, the food was brought immediately and piping hot. Â the place was clean. Â our waitress sarah brought the bill and take home container without being asked. Â the food was fresh and not super salty.
Review Source:Loved the food! My parents and I were vacationing in Hat Creek and came in to Burney for groceries. We saw the Dragon Palace and thought how crazy it was for a Chinese restaurant all the way up here?! Well, we sure were surprised by the quality and deliciousness of the food!
We got chow fun, happy family, Mongolian lamb, and walnut prawns. Everything was very tasty. Price was a little high, but still, it's good Chinese food in the intermountain area!
