Went here on a Sunday afternoon. Â It was my second time there. Â The first time was fine. Â
On this occasion, I went there with my friend. Â The restaurant was at approximately 30% capacity, so servers, back servers, and bar tenders were chatting among themselves and fooling around. Â Upon entering the door, we had to ask the hostess if there was a seat instead of her asking us. Â We wanted to sit outside, so the hostess led us to a table on the patio and dropped us menus and said someone will be with us shortly. Â So far so good. Â
5 minutes go by, a short brunette girl walking around tables, not very busy with nothing in her hands and not taking orders. Â We are thirsty, want some water, and want to order drinks and food... a busser walks by our table with a pitcher of water and doesn't ask us if we want glasses or water or silverware... nothing. Â
Another 5 minutes go by and we are wondering what the hell is going on. Â We just want to order! Â I flag down the short brunette girl and she tells me that she'll go find someone to serve us. Â She immediately walks over to another table, then to talk to the busboy, then goes inside. Â She comes back out a few minutes later with nothing in her hands and ignores us. Â
Now we are really wondering what is going on... no idea why someone can't just walk over and serve us drinks on a hot day! Â We are Cooley Law students in our late 20's and dressed appropriately... Â
So by now 15 minutes have gone by, the restaurant is not busy and there are servers doing nothing with their time. Â My friend get's up and leaves because she is all upset about the service, hungry, and cannot wait any longer. Â I get up to go find the manager. Â I ask a back server where I can find the manager. Â The back server says he can't find him, but he is a "tall, big guy." Â I walk up to the hostess and she is chatting with another server who is sitting down on the bench across from the hostess stand... really??? Â I tell her what went wrong and she says, "who sat you?" Â Are you serious? Â YOU sat me 20 minutes ago... WOW. Â The server sitting on the bench was nice enough to offer us help and serve us but by then it was too late. Â Damage has been done. Â
I have 10 years experience serving tables. Â I have worked at summer locations, steak houses, bars, and upscale Italian restaurants in the North End of Boston, MA. Â Needless to say, I know what good service is and I can sympathize with restaurants when they are super busy and waitstaff is weeded because 300 covers are being put out in 4 hours...
I hope others have a better experience here because the location is awesome and the style reminds me of what I would find on the East Coast... However, I would recommend management oversees their waitstaff and pays more attention to their customers. Â There seems to be a lack of communication and helping each other out with servicing customers at this restaurant.
Management here must be a bunch of morons for not staffing appropriately on one of the known busiest days... East Lansing art fair (2012) - by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
However, I have been here on multiple occasions that haven't sucked so hard. It's a big Irish pub - the staff is generally nice - sometimes they have attitudes I don't care for.
They do have a nice big patio and live music occasionally. It's your party place. They staff behind the bar very well, but not the servers on the floor. So... come in and sit at the bar if you can find a spot and enjoy some beverages - the food is nothing to write home about.
Dublin is an interesting place. Â During the day, it's your typical irish pub, other than the music that doesn't really fit. Â It looks nice from the outside, and has an old pub look on the inside. Â The food is your typical irish pub grub, and it's pretty good. Â They have a nice patio you can sit/eat on. Â To get to it you go through a GIGANTIC door.
At night, this place turns into just another crazy East Lansing bar. Â They have a back room that they open up and there's a DJ and dancing. Â The rest of the place is a bit calmer.
I think it's unique because it's a pretty good restaurant during the day and a crazy bar at night. Â Most other bars in EL are not known for good food during the day unless it's a burger.
One of the better bars in EL. Good food and a decent set up with a great outdoor seating area. Prices are fair and they're smart about how they handle the entrance lines. I liked it more before they closed the outdoor seating because it wasn't very crowded and you could actually enjoy yourself while still partying or dancing or doing whatever. The only big downside is that because of it being a college bar, it's got a nasty smell to it during all hours of the day. Time to replace the wood or sand it all down relacquer and put a water proof varnish on it.
Review Source:I'm not a big fan of much of the local cuisine around East Lansing and Lansing, and sometimes Dublin's is ok. I've been several times for lunch and dinner and to their bar, and almost every single time I've gone, I've left satisfied. I went last night and ordered their grilled veggie sandwich and was actually kind of grossed out, so stay away from that one, but their turkey and brie sandwich is pretty good, as is their spinach dip. Given that it's pub food, expectations weren't too high to begin with and this place is usually somewhere I can take friends from out of town without being (too) embarrassed.
Review Source:As one of the nicer bars in EL, it was the perfect location to celebrate a special occasion with a big group of friends: Two within our group just got engaged!
With a ginormous umbrellaed and elevated patio, and a rich wood interior decorated as a traditional Irish pub complete with fireplaces, this spot always boasts a long line on St. Paddy's day. On any other normal day of the year, it's still a popular spot for live music, food/drink specials and a wide selection of beverages including Michigan brews on draft and specialty liquors.
We were all happy to learn that the traditional Sunday $8 burger, fries and pint was still on special all day. I went for the Oberon (classic citrus Michigan beer in the summertime) with my BBQ bacon burger and steak fries. (Side note - Hubby got the mashed potatoes as a sub to the fries for the same cost.) This is such a good deal considering that ALL beer (premium, craft, etc.) is included. Although a few beers were out that day.
The group of 12 may have been a bit much for a quiet summer Sunday afternoon though. Drinks were served promptly and food orders taken shortly afterward. However, there were a lot of little snafus throughout all our dishes. One burger was missing cheese, one sandwich was missing dressing, most meat was overdone.
Personally, I found the BBQ sauce lacking in the green apple flavor that the menu boasts and the bacon was actually more like ham (AKA Canadian bacon) which was fine but the menu didn't clearly describe the dish that way. In addition, the server didn't give me much choice other than the provolone for cheese, even though the menu said "cheese of your choice." The bread was fluffy in texture and definitely better than the average bun from a bag, but was overwhelming the actual meat patty, dry from overcooking. I was happy to have fresh veggie toppings such as lettuce, tomato and red onion on the side for no extra cost. The steak fries were thick cut and evidently made from scratch, seasoned well.
I've been here many times before and will continue to come back with friends when reuniting at our Alma mater, but I'll remember to be patient when we're in large groups.
Looking at the Yelp question on waiter service below, I'm tempted to select "not sure." Â Yes, on the few occasions I have been here, let's just say service was, um, distant. Â I'm still waiting for my water. Â And my salad.
This place is a certified conundrum. Â Great location, chill atmosphere, but perhaps the persistently worst management I've encountered in EL. Â It's like someone had the bucks to build a really cool place, but they had no pub experience (bar or restaurant), so they threw together a crap menu of prepared foods and hired a bunch of arrogant nincompoops to run it. Â I'm not exaggerating.
The food... I'll give you a clue: ask for a corned beef dinner plate! Â If the corned beef at this Irish pub is "homemade" as claimed, how come I can't get it in anything but a sandwich? Â The servers can't describe or explain any of the food items, except for "Yeah, that's pretty good." Â And nothing we tried was exceptional, let alone surprising. Â The beer selection was nice (if somewhat pricey, especially given the "happy hour" during two visits), but the bartender couldn't pull a Guinness correctly. Â And our server had no idea what a Black and Tan was...
On my last trip, I tried speaking to the manager. Â I have no idea if the guy that came over was indeed important, but he was definitely an idiot. Â Said it was too late to do anything about my salad since I didn't bring it up sooner. Â Sooner than what? Â My responsibility was to find the invisible server? Â It took three people to find you! Â
What about the service in general, I asked? Â I explain that two of the three times I have come in with large groups from my office and things just seem to get worse. Â While we, in general, like the restaurant, there is becoming less incentive to visit. Â His blank stare and superficial responses solidified my opinion. Â This place is mismanaged from the top down; these actions, like the server's indifference, must be mimicking a higher power's, such that as long as enough money is rolling in from the late crowd, they could care less about those who would truly value a nice lunch/dinner spot. Â I'm definitely not coming back on my dime.
My meal was frozen on the inside so obviously not fresh, the servicer was rude and the price was way too high...$6 for a drink...come on really? Also, the entertainment was loud and awful especially on WED's so do not bother...you have to pay cover before you can hear the music in the back room...light show is ok but get a check Dublin on your taste for dj tunes. Â Overall poor experience for our young professional group.
Review Source:My wife and I visit this pub every time we're in the area. We're usually in town during the summer months so we enjoy the outdoor patio, however we've sat inside and found it to be cozy.
They have the best buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever had. It's spicy and the blue cheese sauce is out of this world. I'm telling you: I dream about this sandwich. I find excuses to come out to East Lansing solely so I can come here and eat it. Amazing.
Arranged dinner and drinks with friends to celebrate a promotion last night (Friday). We were easily able to snag a table for six on the patio, where there was a pretty awesome two man band that played very personalized versions of popular hits today.
Our waitress started out pretty awesome, promptly took our drink and food orders, and answered our questions. The food was pretty good - somehow better than all my previous Dublin visits. I had the portabello chicken sandwich, and I would return to eat it again but honestly don't know if I can bear to deal with the cluster fork that was the remainder of our visit...
It started raining outside, so we grabbed our plates and drinks to head on in. The place somehow became incredible busy within the fifteen minutes we had been there, and there were no tables for six available. Our original waitress put us on the wait list for the next available table and we waited at the bar until we were called.
This wait lasted about thirty minutes. My friend had a long island that was barely drank, and the bartender dumped it out, and only offered a "I was just clearing out every thing I thought was not being drank.". My friend had to ASK for a replacement. The girl seemed annoyed. We finally we called for a table, and it ended up being a table for four. We found some chairs and pulled them up to make do - no big deal, and were told a waitress would be right with us.
Three waitresses came in and out of our seating area and none of them greeted us or asked us for drink orders for fourty minutes! Seriously, not acceptable. We asked one of the waitresses in the area to bring us our waitress. At some point, I walked to the bar and got my own drink. Ten minutes later waitress number two apologized for the wait, took our drink orders, and disappeared into the night.
Waitress number three arrived five minutes later, and said she would be our girl for the night. She informed us that, as usual, they have ZERO drink or shot specials. I seriously hate this about Dublin. Water down something and discount it a bit... What collegetown bar offers nothing on discount?
A few hours and one drink later, we were charged for appetizers we never ordered/ate. The worst part, for me, is that Dublin COULD be the hands down choice for a great night with a chill atmosphere and decent food, but so many other important aspects of this restaurant fail. Check yourself, Dublin!
Some of the greatest Irish food that you will get in East Lansing. For an appetizer you should definitely get the baked brie. It is pretty much fried cheese served with bread and cranberries on the side. So Good! One of my favorite entrees here is the Chicken Ramona. it is a chicken stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach. On top of the chicken is a dijon mustard. In addition, you also get a side of garlic mashed potatoes and broiled vegetables. I was so full afterwards, but it was so good!
Review Source:Avoid - We had reservations and it was a waste of time even making them. Â They did not have our table ready, we waited an extra hour, they did not have a large enough table for our party and in general had a terrible attitude (I would even say there attitude was condesending)
We either had employees who did not care or did not have a clue. Â The management was no where to be found. Â
The food was marginal at best and the overall experience was barely worthy of one star.
With so many good choices in this area (El Azteco - Great food and friendly service, Ricks, etc) don't wast your time or money here.
Dublin is better at being a bar than it is at being a restaurant. They have a full bar and a lot of space, with the front bar and the back bar area. They have strongbow on tap and a great beer selection. They have good bands.
I am always hopeful before I go there to eat that "this time it will be better" and I am always disappointed. The menu descriptions sound amazing but tend to disappoint. Last night I ordered a turkey, brie, and pesto panini with housemade kettle chips. Sounds great, right? The plate was completely tan. No sign of green (well pickle...). I opened the sandwich looking for the pesto and asked the waitress. She said it was actually a pesto butter. The sandwich was oozing gunk. Brie is creamy enough on its own, you don't need mayo or butter. If they had just made the sandwich as described, with pesto, brie, and turkey it would have been great. The chips were overcooked and unseasoned. My friend ordered a 1/2 slab of ribs that were oven cooked and fatty. 2 meals and 3 beers was over $40. Sorry but their food is not good enough for me to shell out the george washingtons.
I like Dublin as a hang out spot (they have a great, huge, patio as well). But I think  I have learned my lesson to just stick w/ drinks there.
It's hard to sum this place up, since it's a really different place depending on when you go.
If you go for lunch or dinner, it's alright- exactly what you would expect. Decent food (including bar fare and typical Irish things like fish and chips) and it's served relatively quickly. It can get crowded at times, but it's never too bad. It's about $10/person for food which is reasonable for the amount and quality. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area for those nice summer nights.
If you go on a weekend night, this place is a madhouse. There is usually a line out the door and no where to sit or stand. The line for drinks is crazy (however, they do have Strongbow on tap- I'm not saying it's not worth the wait!). They have a back room with a DJ/music and lots of room for dancing. The few times I've been here, this room was a little bit too much for me to handle (*sigh* I think that means I'm getting old). There are usually some weirdo middle aged men lurking, and lots of college girls.
I highly recommend it for a meal with family or friends at a quieter time, and lots of fun on the weekends if you are up for it!
My stops into this place are short, so food is only judged on appetizer types. Â The renovations done recently are lovely, I really like the look of this place. Â The outdoor space looks like it would be nice too. Â I've only stopped into this place around the beginning of March, Â so it is indoors for me. Â
The last time I stopped in was last week. Â Drinks were good, spinach artichoke dip, potato skins, and Potato and Leek soup was all GREAT. Â The waiter, was a little less than great we will say. Â The place was dead, since it was MSU's Spring Break, so one would think that a waiter would be happy to see a decent sized group (about ten people) getting settled. Â From the very get go he seemed extremely annoyed by our mere presence. Â I know that sometimes groups (including my own) can be difficult to deal with, but there was maybe one other table of people in this guy's area. Â Many of us were paying in cash and the rest of us with cards let him know up front what to divide up. Â Eh. Â
Another plus, the TV's are great, bathrooms clean, and the dart board was there for entertainment as well. Â Nice place to visit. Â :)
This is my go to place for a night out in East Lansing. If you're looking to relax and just enjoy a drink, stay out front. If you want to dance until you drop, head to the back bar and enjoy the DJ spinning tunes.
The atmosphere is amazing and the recent renovation to the back only helped the place. The fact that they have Strongbow on tap is my favorite part and their drinks are always strong.
The only problem is that on a busy night, the line can get pretty long and the wait for a drink can be frustrating.
Now I just need to head back for a lunch or dinner and see if this review changes.
FIrst of all - the two stars are for the waiters and for the beer. Thank you, waiters and beer.
We held a birthday event at Dublin Square and nothing went well. The staff was totally clueless despite our month and a half long conversation about the event and all of the details. The hostesses were a mess, continuously seating people in the space(s) that we had reserved. AND THEN seating people in the space they sort of gave us to "make up for it" which was basically a corner. Totally awful. We were treated as if we didn't even have reservations (not to mention an event planned!).
The food was also horrendous. It is difficult to make cheeseburgers poorly, but they did it!
Thank God my family and our friends are awesome and we were able to still have a good time. But seriously - if you want to go get drunk somewhere (period), this is the place. If you want anything more, go elsewhere.
Met up with some old college friends for lunch here today (no, we did not attend MSU together...just so happened that E. Lansing was a good central meeting spot). Â For a weekday, over the holiday break when many students are home from campus, it was expectedly not busy. Â Our service was fantastic, such a great waitress who was not only patient, but downright helpful when it came to splitting our bill. Â
The food was a toss up - I loved my appetizer but was "meh" oh my entree. Â Appetizer was a crab & brie dip, served with a warm, crusty, fresh-out-of-the-oven baguette. Â Mmmmmmm....I could chow on that all day! Â Also got a refill of more baguette with no additional charge, which was appreciated. Â
For my entree I ordered a turkey reuben (my classic favorite - even when they're not that good I like them!). Â The portion was large, but I didn't really want to eat all of it. Â They turkey was nice quality, and the house made slaw on top was a tasty apple/cranberry variety that was an unexpected flavor. Â But, it was not very creamy, there was only a very small amount on the sandwich (my friend ordered the same and made a similiar comment) and although the flavors were nice, it made the sandwich taste like - well, not like a reuben. Â Also, instead of a nice toasted bread, the sandwich was on a fluffy type of pita. Â Again, also not very reuben-y. Â I didn't love it. Â I'm open to non-traditional sandwiches, but even if they had labeled it as something other than a reuben, it still could have used more slaw and a better choice of bread.
The fries were forgettable. Â My friend got chips with hers, which appeared to be house made, and I wish I would have gone with those instead.
I don't live in E. Lansing but if I'm ever back in the area, I'd be open to trying a different entree and hoping for better luck.
5 Stars for an Irish pub? Dublin will always have a special place in my heart. It is one of the "nicer" nightspots in EL. The staff is nice and very attentive and the beer is great (they even put a cherry in the Cherry Wheat!)
I remember watching tons of MSU basketball here last year while taking advantage of the $8 burger and beer special (awesome!)
The black and blue burger is AMAZING! Dublin is so much fun both for lunch or dinner and for going out at night. I love it.
When this place first came about, it was the talk of the time. Â The outside structure made it seem too expensive for anyone to enjoy a good night out there. Â I was actually intimidated of this place due to its high-maintenance building. Â I guess this makes it seem more high class than the other restaurants/bars around that same area.
I came here only once and was immediately shocked of the inside.
You walk in and there is this big open space that I guess was meant to hold the night crowd (it acted as partly a dance floor?) The tables are to the side and there are many booths. Â It was fine for our occasion that night which consisted mainly of grabbing some wine and slight dining in celebration of something (I can't remember). Â Once we were done talking, we decided to go dance. Â We have to walk across the room to another hidden room where there was a small dance floor. Â It was a weird place overall.
You have high tables with no chairs when you walk in and then you have booths and not that many tables, and then you have a small dance floor. I personally think this place tried to portray itself as a high class restaurant/bar but in reality, it was made to be only a bar. Typical Irish Pub if I may say so.
Having frequented this bar during my college years and deciding on a celtic themed wedding, I knew this would be the best place for the rehearsal dinner. It was difficult setting up the dinner, bc they employee kids to manage the restaurant. Although we confirmed the arrangements the week and month prior, there was a mix-up the day of the rehearsal dinner. They magically found our reservation, seated our party in the appropriate area, and from that point on, things went smoothly. The food and service was great, menu prices were affordable for a large party.
We returned the following evening and hosted the wedding after-party at Dublin's. What a blast! I wish the DJ had a better selection, but our guests had a fantastic time regardless. We look forward to returning to this restaurant/bar.
This is your typical Irish Pub but, new and clean. Â I came at night for drinks with a friend. Â Our waitress was great! Â She was friendly and made sure our glasses were full. Â They had Strongbow on tap which is always a plus in my book.
We ordered mozzarella sticks which were actually shaped like half moons: cute.
The place is two in one. Â We stayed mainly in the front portion which looks like it could double as a restaurant during the day. Â We quickly walked through the back which was smokey and seemed a little more wild.
All in all, it was a good time.
Dublin Square is a fun place, sometimes there is live music (which in my experience has been good) and even though you can order an Irish Carbomb anywhere, this is my favorite place to do it. Â Sure, it's more like a Bennigan's than a legit Irish pub, but it's still cool if you keep that in mind coming in.
Sometimes the crowd here is a bit of a frat-douche combo, and i remember the staff being particularly rude to my friend when she was puking in shot glasses, which I guess is understandable, but that's why we're at 4 stars and not 5 here.
I always am surprised when I haven't reviewed a place that I've eaten at several times. Dublin Square is hit or miss. Sometimes the service is wonderful, others, not so much. I usually get the veggie panini. I went a few weeks ago for my friend's 21st, and it was great, and then I went one week later, and half the ingredients were missing. Would I come back? Of course. Inexpensive, vegetarian options, cool environment, outdoor seating. All pluses in my book.
Review Source:After what was to become one of many evenings that we sat late in the office working on things, we decided to head towards campus to see if there were any good places to grab a bite. Â After 12 hours of fluorescent lighting, we'll say that "Good = outside patio + decent food + not working - Greek influence". Â Last time I was at Dublin's it was during the UM/MSU game. Â BAD time to try it out. Â However, this time it was much better...
The patio, first off, is perfect, save for the fact that in spring if you get there too late the sun makes an early exit, leaving you shivering.
The food, for being in a student-dominated area, is surprisingly good. Â Not great, but definitely ok for all those but the super-picky. Â The salmon (despite probably being farm-raised... BLECH!) was pretty good, and most dishes seemed to be prepared pretty well.
The staff aimed to please, so generally I'm A-OK with it. Â I have a feeling the scene is good inside, too. Â Definitely worth a couple return trips...
While in Lansing on business my workmates and I went for dinner. Â The 3 of them had been there earlier in the week, enjoyed the beer and food, but had lousy service. Â I went there 3 times in the two weeks I was in Lansing. Â The beer was good, perfectly poured and the right temperature. Â The food was very good each time, and reasonable for a bar.
Parking is terrible. Â They have a small lot behind the place. Â Since it was a million below zero I parked in the pay lot next door. Â Typical college town - charge for parking everywhere!
I was here on a Thursday (Ladies' Night), so I didn't have to pay cover, and $3 Blue Moon on draught made me a very happy camper. There was a live cover band, and they were excellent.
The atmosphere is fabulous, and there's plenty of room to dance, although, it's not really that kind of place. Some people dance, some people don't. It's not dark and creepy inside like the rest of the EL bars, and the music isn't so loud that's it's overpowering.
I had a blast. I can't wait to go back. It's great for a chill night out.
This is a decent place to grab a beer and  I enjoyed the live music that they had on Friday and Saturday nights.  However, this is not a good place to watch the game.  Due to the little nooks, you be blocked fairly easy from one of the many TVs.  Didn't try any of the food, but really wasn't tempted to...
Review Source:Love this place! Â My new favorite hangout before and after football games. Â Lots of televisions for fanatic sports viewing. Â It's pretty roomy and not too crowded. Â I almost hate to say anything for fear it will become crowded. Â Good selection of beers. Â The separate smoking room is heaven, I tell you, heaven! Â I can and do easily spend hours here because there is no smoke in the rest of the restaurant. Â The last time I was here was with a group of 6 and we had a great table and a great time!
Review Source:I have been here for drinks a few times and it was pretty cool. Not the cheapest place in the world, but they have good specials at night. Went there to eat before the football game this weekend because we couldn't get in anywere else (booo for Harpers. $5 cover to get in on a football Saturday. Awful. Sorry for the rant). The food was decent, but very quirky. I think it is supposed to be authentic, but as I am not Irish, the effect was lost on me. Everything was decent, but overpriced. I don't think I would go back to eat, but the atmosphere is good for drinking. Not that atmosphere is a necessary component in order to drink, but it is a nice place to hang at the bar, etc. 2 stars for food, 4 stars for atmosphere.
Review Source:There are two aspects to Dublin Square: it's an East Lansing Bar, and it's a pub-style restaurant. I'll review it on those two aspects separately because they are so different.
As a bar, it's pretty nice, about 4 stars. It's upscale for the area, meaning you don't feel like you're in a frat house or basement like you would over at Rick's or PT's. The drinks aren't uber-cheap, but when I went there on a Friday night, all draught beer was $3. That's $3 for a Newcastle, Bass, Oberon, Guinness, you know - the good stuff. That made it worthwhile. The interior is nicely finished with enough space for a live band, I just hope they get a better band than was there the night I stopped in. Also cool is a little room off the sports room called "The Snug" where you and a party of friends can hang out, away from the loud crowds.
Now as a pub/restaurant, Dublin Square seems to suck. I phoned Dublin Square because 9 friends wanted to go out to celebrate a birthday. We figured a pub would be great. Dublin Square advised me that they don't take reservations. Fine. I show up about an hour before we plan to eat. "Oh I'm sorry" the hostess says, "we only have 2 tables that accommodate more than 5 guests and we can't seat you for another two and a half hours."
So they don't take reservations, and they have a hard time with parties larger than 5. Awesome.
Fun fun fun. Â I love Irish pubs. Â The best part about this new place is that the smokers are quarantined to the back of the restaurant in their OWN room...meaning us non-smokers don't have to breathe their carcinogenic air. Â For the state of Michigan, this is huge. Huge!
Word on the street is the owner of this restaurant actually brought this Dublin pub from the signature city itself, alluding to its "authenticity." I am going to be in Dublin in less than a month, and will report on this sorted claim. To me, it feels like an American pub longing to be the Irish original.
This aside, we had a lot of fun here! Â We went on a Saturday night--it was very loud and crowded, but this translated into a fun, lively atmosphere for us. Â We had to wait 1 1/2 hours for a table, but ordered some beer and an appetizer at the bar and were just fine (the brie plate hit the spot!). Â I had the fish and chips--the fish was delicious and "chips" crunchy! Â We also had their version of the french dip at our table and the acclaim was that it was "amazing." Â The chef even came around to a few tables near us (though not ours) to ask about the food.
My one caveat was that we were sat in the middle of a room full of tables and were constantly getting poked/prodded/bumped by servers and people getting up to use the bathroom. Â If you can, request or hold out for a table close to the wall so you aren't being interrupted by elbows and shifting bodies.
And, finally, I must add that the bathrooms are really nice--which is a pet peeve of mine. Â They live up to the rest of the place!
