This place has a great location on historic Mercer St in DT Dripping Springs. My wife and I received a warm welcome as soon as we entered. The wine selection is awesome, not the same for beer, I wished they had a greater selection of local brews. The atmosphere is very friendly and the service was very good. We had the meat and cheese combo plate and it was a big portion and very tasty. I'm a fan!

We were totally bummed by our experience after having seen all of the great reviews on Yelp.

We went in and were immediately overwhelmed with HOW LOUD the place was. It is a tiny old house and it was dominated by several large loud parties plus a musician in the corner.

It was super confusing when we went in. No one greeted us and we could not find a server. Bewildered, we finally just found a table and sat down. And waited. And waited. Finally hubby went to the bar and had to interrupt one of the loud groups in order to get to the bartender, who then told him that we had to order at the bar. How would we have known that? We finally got our drinks, which were fine, but also ordered a cheese plate. It was disappointing. Very little cheese with a few crackers, and appeared thrown together. We didn't see any other food options.

Not once did a server come by to check on us, or offer us any water, or even see if we wanted additional drinks. We had a hard time even getting the check.

Hopefully this was just an anomaly, but it was a really poor experience. Try the Barber Shop instead - friendlier service and much quieter.

This is a great place...I'm very happy they set up shop in Dripping Springs. We stopped by after having a beer at the Barber Shop (bar) next door and glad we checked out the wine bar. Great live music, awesome owners (at least I think they were the owners), perfect wine recommendations, friendly atmosphere and overall good times. When you're there, order a buffalo burger from the food truck right outside if they're open - delicious. I wouldn't even make a recommendation on improving the place, it's already perfect. My other recommendation is to take the Dripping Springs taxi to and from your place - the taxi worked out great. Yep, we'll be back.

I was new in town and my BF Jim took me to Dudley's for the first time and I was surprised that I felt like I have been there! I met friendly and lovely people and till date we are still friends. Excellent place to chill out with good music.

We just celebrated a surprise party for my hubby at the Dudley's. We had such a great time! There was live music, the space we had was perfect for all of our guests and we received great service from the owner Adam, and his right-hand guy, George. The place is also filled with a variety of artwork for sale by local artists. Great concept....locally owned business supporting local artists. The art pieces are also great converstaion starters : ) I highly recommend this place for your next special occasion!

A wonderful little place - one of many interesting new businesses in Dripping. Pleasant decor, with a couple of cosy little side room seating areas. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. And some nights they have music. Local trio "The Rounders" - hugely talented and totally unpretentious - were playing the night I was there. and gave an incredible performance - it was well worth driving out from Austin for such a pleasant experience. The main seating area of Dudleys is not optimal for live music - too many partitions blocking the view - so if they're going to keep on having bands this good, they may need to reconfigure the decor to keep the crowd happy. But don't let that deter you from trying out the Dudley's. It really is a gem.

My new favorite place in SW Austin...and in Dripping Springs no less. I love this place. I love the beer selection, I love the atmosphere, I love the staff. I especially love the way they are always doing these funky entertainment things: Right now they have a Celtic Jam going on..a bunch of violinists playing irish music...Really cool. They are supposed to have some sort of funk band tonite as well as a blues band. Really fun place.

This is one of my favorite local places for happy hours. I love the wine and more importantly the great advice from the owners as they suggest which drinks would be to your liking. Great local, small town feel. I can't believe I had been there three times before I discovered they have a fantastic outdoor seating area too! The place is always well decorated and a fun place to be!

My wife and I stopped in recently on a Friday night for my birthday. It was our first time in here.

Really nice place. Nice sized bar up front with lots of seating and private rooms spread throughout. There was live music playing which was a nice touch.

We decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was great. Super nice guy. We ordered some Rogners (Rogtoberfest) beer which was the special that night, and we got to keep the glasses. Another nice touch.

Very good selection of beer and wine, they also serve some cheese and meat trays.

Glad that Dripping has a nice wine bar. We will definitely be back.

Met a friend for a glass of wine after work and was very pleased to see how nice this place was set up! It has a casual nice atmosphere and relaxed feel. It afforded both enough privacy for talking between two people or a group party. I was impressed with the whole lay out of the place and the wine selction. They also have a nice beer selection. The owners and wait staff were very friendly. The available food selection was OK but could be better. They have chocolates served as a compliment on some occassions, that's a nice touch.

This place just keeps getting better and better. I stopped by last Sunday and there was an awesome group playing Irish music. The artwork is beautiful and always changing and that bartender, GEORGE, is quite the entertainer!! Just another reason to stay close to home and meet new friends!

A step-up from other local places, if that's what you're looking for, but still pretty laid-back. Good selection of Belgian beers, so that carries a lot of good will with me. The wine menu is decent, but not as robust as one would think for a bar claiming to be a wine bar. Perhaps sniffing out the local taste buds? Love the variety of sitting areas. You can have your own private living room, open tables, or outdoor area complete with water fountain. Something for everyone.

I was surprised there weren't more people there when I went, though a nearby bar was hosting a movie night and people may have migrated there for the special event. Otherwise, I can think of no other reason why the place wouldn't have had more people around. I didn't mind though.

Other details: nice, attentive service, decent prices for the caliber of drinks that we had, and good selection of Belgian beers (did I mention that already?)

I was thrilled to learn that Dripping was getting a wine bar like this! My husband and I went in on a Wednesday night about 15 minutes before closing time on a whim to check the place out. I totally expected them to suggest we come back another night but the exact opposite happened. They weren't concerned AT ALL about the time and told us to come in and make ourselves at home. Their friendliness and welcoming personalities was a refreshing change from another local beer establishment in town - we fell in love instantly!

The wine selection is amazing (I don't usually find much that I care so that's saying a lot) and the beer selection keeps us coming back time after time! We find ourselves there at least once a week (but we talk about going a whole lot more)! Did I mention that they also served hand-crafted chocolates? A glass of wine and a chocolate truffle - what more do you need?

We recommend The Dudley's to anyone that will stand still long enough to listen! We have taken many of our friends there and want everyone to fall in love with this place and the employees as much as we have!

So, bring a friend (or a hot date) and cozy up on one of their couches or bring a game and enjoy some quality time with friends. You'll be treated like royalty!

Thanks Dudley's! See you soon!

Dudley's is a great place to stop after work for a good wine or a hand crafted beer. It has a relaxed atmosphere, perfect place to start or end a date. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Loved it!

This cozy, well-decorated wine bar is not only a welcome addition to Dripping Springs, Adam and Stacy have done an amazing job picking real standouts for the wine menu instead of the usual boring suspects.
Great wines available by the glass like Goldschmidt Cab and Bogle Phantom, plus superb, hard-to-find draft beers like Lambic Framboise and Paulaner. Even the cheese options are exceptional: local artisan specialities from Pure Luck Dairy: http://www.purelucktexas…

The seating is comfortable and non-prissy, the patio is friendly and allows smoking, and there's even room for bands to play. All they need is a chess board for their library and they have everything you'd want in the ideal neighborhood bar. Thank you, Adam, Stacey and George!
