Pros:
Good place to eat. Â I have been here a few times. Â Plenty of parking spaces. Â They're next to Sports Authority. Â Free WiFi. Â Very fast WiFi compared to other free WiFi that I have seen. Â Speed can get more than 5Mbps for free WiFi, which is not too bad. Â The free WiFi that you get a Starbucks or McDonalds is barely 1Mbps.
Plenty of TVs.
Cons:
Interior is a little dark in my opinion. Â They could use a little more light. Â Depending on where you sit, sometimes it's hard to see the menu to order.
The service was friendly, the food was okay, and I'm sure there are better bars to spend your time.
I was hoping this would be a warm local sports bar serving hearty food unique to Melbourne, but instead it was a very large establishment that had much more of a mass-produced chain feel to it than it did a local bar.
Was only here once for lunch. Â There was a very large elderly crowd here, I suspect because the lunch special prices are very reasonable. Â Food service was very slow but management did apologize and give credits for the delay.
We had several entrees. Â The taco platter which was featured for $6.99 is *MUCH* smaller than it looks like in the picture. Â The tacos are tiny and it was more of an appetizer portion on a little plate than it is a meal. Â I got the mahi mahi grilled tacos, though, and they were good. Â Fish had a nice taste.
The turkey platter looked good, the cali turkey club sandwich was also nice. Â The Lobster bisque soup was very heavy on the cream and very light on the lobster. Â It was basically a pink broth, with a taste of sherry (?) and teeny tiny chunks of meat which could have been artificial crab or fish for all I knew. Â Its not that it tasted bad, but I wouldn't get it again unless you just want to drink a big bowl of warm pink cream.
I'll try another place the next time I'm in town.
Great sports bar! Â Very affordable and if you're an MVP member you have the opportunity to keep earning points and there for save money each time you go. Â Plus they have happy hours that allow you to save 40% off the menu! Â The food is absolutely delicious. Â I've eaten here numerous times. Â I'm a huge fan of clam chowder and I must say, theirs is amazing. Â I always want to order an extra bowl to take home. Â We just had their special for Valentine's weekend of Flat Iron Steak and Lobster tail. Â Both were cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, came with one side of choice and was only $14.99 Â What a great bang for a buck. Â Such a wondeful meal. Â The seared Ahi tuna appetizer is delicious, and the broiled scallops are so good I had to order them on one of my visits even though scallops make me wheezy. Â Suprisingly I didn't have a reaction to their scallops- but they were so delicious it would have been worth it even if I had. Â The broccoli is actually fantastic and not just for looks, and one of the servers there convinced me to try it with a spritz of lemon. Â Amazing. Â The Black beans and rice was such a nice warm savory taste, it's definitely more rice than beans but I'm okay with that. Â I can't wait to go back and try the Turkey burger- I hear it's delicious. Â Give Duffy's a try, the drinks are great and the food is delicious- and fast. Â We got our order in about 15minutes. Â (Ask for Joedie if you want an extraordinary server.)
