Duke's Malibu

Duke's is a average restaurant in a great location.  Its right on the beach front so if you're lucky enough, you'll get a window seat and you can marvel at the wonderful view of the ocean.  

There's surfing-related decor throughout the restaurant.  Unfortunately this place gets extremely busy, so even though they're trying to go for the relaxed surfer vibe, it feels more like the Cheese Cake Factory inside.  

Their menu looked great with plenty of options, but most of the food here is pretty bland and mediocre.  If you're dining here, you're paying for the view more-so than the food.  For parking, just do valet.

I've lived in L.A. My whole life and this is the first time I've been to Duke's Malibu.  Very similar to the Waikiki one, but not easy to access the beach.  Excellent views, but a very touristy vibe.

You are here for one reason, and one reason alone.  You have been hanging out at the beach and are too famished to stray far from the water.  Literally, this place is on the water.  If you can nab one of the patio tables, do it.  You gotta love being able to eat/grab a drink and watch the waves crashing next to you.  The food is not bad, either.  I went with fried fish tacos, and it is pretty impossible to mess that up.  The only knock against this place is that the parking situation is a mess.
