Cool NEW artist venue in true Topanga style. Only open a few months.
We visited for the first time this past Sunday for some friends who had their bon voyage party hosted there.
Okay, this is the tiniest little boutique spot slash musician's hot spot. Â But anyone that has ever visited Carhartt's tasting room in Los Olivos knows that you can still have the best time in the smallest space.
Redhanded is jam packed with such an eclectic array of  works by local artists displayed on walls, tables, shelves all throughout every nook and cranny. It's great fun just to stop in and see what treasure you might find.
But if you're lucky enough to stop by when local musicians are jamming on the enclosed patio, then you can embrace your hippie roots on a big double bed or other outdoor furniture set up for people to just lay back and enjoy the day...maybe even experience a Spiritual awakening.
There's no cover charge or admission. They don't serve food or beverages, so bring your own drink or snack. I didn't see a tip jar, but imo, it's always a good thing to lay down some bones for hard working musicians. They'll appreciate and may even play a request! My advice is: space is limited and can fill up fast, but people go in and out, so just relax, look around the shop, and try again later.
Since it is Topanga, if you brought a drum or a shaker along, you will probably get a chance to use it. All the arts are embraced there at Redhanded, so all artists, musicians, dancers, writers, poets and so on are encouraged to become part of the Redhanded tapestry. I think what I will love the most about this venue is that it's new and still becoming what it will be. I think it's great as an artist or one that appreciates the arts to become part of that process.
