I'm only going to comment on and rate the Happy Hour here. Â In my opinion, a watered-down "happy hour" martini for $7 does nothing for me. Â The complimentary apps were okay ... Â hot wings had just enough spice to outweigh the sogginess of the skin, egg rolls were at least crunchy. Â The place was pretty busy and the waitresses were moving ... but not quick enough for me. Â You'd be better off just walking up to the bar and getting your own drink. Â The two TVs above the bar are pretty small, so don't expect to watch the sports here without a set of binoculars. Â Not my first choice for a bar scene. Â Sorry.
Review Source:Let me preface this review by stating, the wife & I have been avid visitors of this lobby bar in past years & back in the Summer of 2012 we decided to drop in to meet up with friends. There was some remodeling going on in the lobby & therefore, the lobby bar was cut off from visitors & at the time you could only get drinks out at the patio bar.
So here we are...I was excited to hear I was to meet friends at the Q-bar in the lobby of the Marriott Woodland Hills for some pregame cocktails. I really wanted to see the new & improved bar! Unfortunately my expectations were high, there was no update to the bar itself, but instead, everything around it was updated. There it was in full glory...new floors, new carpet, new booths & high top tables...same old bar.
Still remaining at the bar:
* Aissa still rocks the best dirty vodkas!
* the excellent service
* the same awesome bartenders (I recognized a couple from last summer)
* Happy Hour
* the FREE lobby Wi-Fi
* FREE (self) parking w/validation
* the two tiny flats-screens that couldn't get the L.A. Kings game.
Great additions to this bar:
* the community high-top
* lush booths
* Thursdays: live entertainment & complimentary apps (wings, spring rolls...)
3.5 star round-up.
Looking forward to revisiting the Q Martini Bar soon.
