Dutch Village Restaurant

The sign out front says "The Dutch Village - Restaurant - Gift Shop" but the gift shop part absolutely takes precedence over the food service operation. This place was loaded to the gills with what Mom calls "adorable" and Dad refers to as "dust collectors." Honestly, I've never seen so much cutesy country memorabilia in one place ever. Anyway, what I experienced of the food was okay. My grandparents love it because they have generous senior meal deals. I'm not much for country-style "home cooking" as a food genre, but ended up with a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich that, though hard to screw up, featured tender, thicker-cut turkey and homemade bread that was soft and damn good. It just so happened to be Free Bread Night as well, so we got a bag of our own to take home. Service was slow but friendly. Overall, there don't seem to be too many other options in greater metropolitan Clymer, so they're lucky to have a passable place like this in town.
