D'vine Wine Bar and Lounge

My kids wanted to take me to dinner in the North Hills for my birthday, but as I don't eat "chain" food, this is always a problem. We settled to try D'vine.
Our server was great. Coming from a food background, I could see how she was busting along, and appreciated it. The new menu is the typical NH fried food plate.   Please include something green, if only a small bit of coleslaw. Fried, fried, fried, and not great. But the waitress was absolutely super.
Sorry owners, this is an elevated form of Eat 'n' Park. Where is the green stuff? Where is a side salad? Where is anything?
Have you not paid attention? Crab cakes are very out.
I do not eat decor. I do not care how much people spend on decor. I just want to eat food. Pay attention, kitchen.

Been here 2x and was disappointed in the quality of the food both times. As far as the wine - selection is average at best.

When d'vine first opened as a wine bar, I liked the atmosphere and wine, and appreciated having something cool (non-chain) and different in the north suburbs.  However, the wine bar concept didn't last and now it seems like any other sports bar, albeit it one with upscale decor.  Last time I went, the whole experience was really disappointing.  I had a pizza which tasted freezer burned...really not good at all.  Several of the staff had called in sick so the poor waitress was working her tail off to take care of everyone, but just couldn't do it all on her own.  It is too bad that Wexford couldn't support the original d'vine.
