I ate there once and will never eat there again. Normally I would give a place a second chance, but some places are so terrible they do not deserve a second chance.
To be fair, I went during their non-nightclub hours for an early dinner. Maybe it gets better later on.
I forget what we ordered but our food came with chicken soup. Our soup had a bunch of chicken skin in it. Maybe it is a cultural thing but skin in my soup is nasty.
The entree had so much cheese on top, it just looked like a goopy, Â greasy mess. Some people might like that... I don't.
I love Mexican food, and I wanted to like this place. Sadly it is just a big dirty mess of a restaurant.
I was recently staying in Lancaster, CA doing a movie... Â and we ordered a ton of food from this El Dorado for dinner. Â Well... they made amazing food. Â Which is all that was expected. Â I can't say I suggest visiting this area, or going out of your way to eat here, but I can say that if I'm ever back in the area and want mexican food, it's definitely coming from this place... the food was really really good. Â I can't really speak for the dancing or the actual restaurant, we did this all take-out style... Â but like I said, food was totally 4 stars.
Review Source:I was desparately looking for someplace to get out to. However, I knew the odds were stacked against me: 1) it was Wednesday and 2) I was in the Antelope Valley. Unswayed, I did some research and discovered El Dorados had something going on.
There were warning signs alright... their website said "18 to get in... 21 to drink" (remember, I said I was desparate) but I figured it would at least be an experience and I really had low expectations and just wanted a drink, hear some music and people watch a little.
Well, it WAS a learning experience: $10 to get in (they should have been paying people to come in); there was a fair-sized crowd: about 35 guys and 5 girls in the whole place; my vodka tonic I think was just tonic; I remember being slightly annoyed with the dj music but cannot recall what it was.
But one of the most curious things was these three young guys (ok, ok they prob were 18) sitting on chairs on the empty dance floor with light sticks doing some sort of hand voguing thing... what is up with that?! Did you ever feel embarrassed for someone...
Well, they did have tvs tuned to some games so that I could occupy myself while I finished my tonic and waited for something interesting to happen (hey, I paid $10 to be here)... Oh well, not that nite.
Palmdale? 4 stars? Ok. Let me explain....
Wednesday Night. 10pm. What the heck am I doing in Palmdale??? DJ Alex T that's why. One of my good friends was spinning for the first time (in public) so I HAD to go of course!!!! One more homie to branch out. How nice! :)
Ok. Yes. It's a Mexican Restaurant that turns into "CLUB REMIX" at night. However, it's pretty big, there's a sizeable dance floor, and they had great specials on drinks. We got pitchers of beer and also hard alcohol so everyone was happy. Frosted glasses and pimp cups? Nice! $2 rum and cokes? Even better! $2 Margaritas and Kamakazes? Wowza!
The crowd is interesting. The girls on the "stage" were funny as heck. There were people starting ish outside as I would expect. The place itself was chill.
It's the only so called "rave" scene in Palmdale, so obviously we had to bring it hard. Everyone danced, enjoyed DJ Alex T's music, battled, drank, and had a good time. ALWAYS A GOOD TIME WITH THE FAM BAM! :)
