This place has been in Brady for years now and it's a family favorite for Tex-Mex when we're visiting the area.
Try the chef's special on Mondays, it's usually a good bet. Or go for the Flamingo Super Burrito with flavorful simmered meaty filling. My sister loved her fajitas and the price wasn't bad.
I hear they give free Thanksgiving meals out to anyone that comes by during the holiday too. That impressed me.
I Love the crispy tacos!
Just in case that wasn't clear enough, let me say it again....I LOVE the crispy tacos!
I've tried some of the other stuff; OK, the word "other" implies plural or more than one. The fact is, the only "other" stuff I've tried is the enchiladas and they weren't my favorite.
So, that's why I stick with the crispy tacos.
They're served with beef, lettuce, tomato, and some re-fried beans on the side.
The shells are crunchy and the beef is seasoned well. But my favorite part is when you hold them up, all of the grease starts running out the bottom. If you're not a true South Texas Mexican food fan, you won't appreciate that.
Seriously, stop here the next time you're passing through Brady (unless it's on a Sunday, because they're closed that day).
