El Monarca

I think El Monarca is a great place to get average Mexican food with great service.  The chips and salsa are plentiful; the salsa may be a little spicy for some people but it has a great flavor.  The margaritas pack a punch.  Order the large, it's almost the same price as a small.  I have been here twice and have gotten the beef tacos which were good.  The Mexican fried ice cream is okay.  Basically a scoop of ice cream rolled in cornflakes with chocolate sauce drizzled on top, served in cinnamon sugar fried tortilla bowl.  The staff is friendly and the food is served quickly.  Definitely worth a try!

I have been back many times since my first visit. The food has been great every time. The staff is friendly and the food is good. I couldn't ask for more.

I really like this place, but there a few items that could be improved on. The servers could be a little friendlier. The TVs sometimes have been kinda loud and hard to have a conversation. But they have a lot of options that are different then your typical Mexican menu. Try the margaritas very tasty.
