First of all they have a Horchata  machine and I love that drank. (I guess that makes me a "whore"-chata lawlz)
I usually come here for the chicken family meal and the chicken is good and its not too greasy. Â With the sides I usually go for rice and beans, I don't find their mac and cheese that tasty. The churros are nice and crisp, not fluffy, but it really depends on your preference on churros.
The main point of this review is that El Pollo Loco is way better than Taco Bell or Del Taco.
El Pollo Loco is a fast food mexican joint, but it is definitely quite a bit better than other fast foods (in-n-out excluded). The most basic thing on the menu is grilled chicken and sides with tortillas. Sometimes my family will get a 12 piece takeout for the 4 of us, with rice, beans, etc. to share. Â They also have 3 star burritos and salads.
The inside is plastic, but there is usually space to sit and eat. There is also a drive through line which can make pickup easy. Overall, I still eat there occasionally, so it gets a 3 star review.
They provided our  lunch at work and was very helpful, order was perfect, food was delicious.  I loved the new flame grilled corn.  The parking lot is a bit of a mess, but that's the only downside I saw.  It was clean inside and the staff couldn't of been friendlier to us in helping our large order and how much to get.
Don't listen to some of the haters and follow ya boy, this place is legit for the price and quickness. Â There's better, there's worse, but it's a good place overall.
If you want your order messed up every single time, this is the place for you.
It would be a 2 page long review if I listed every time and how this El Pollo Loco location has messed up my order. The last straw was the third time I have said 2 orders of Taquitos (there are 2 in a order) and only getting 1 order with them thinking I said I want 2 Taquitos because they don't have anyone there who speaks good english.
Please do yourself and me a favor and avoid this location.

No seriously, if you want food-on-the-go in Westlake Village, your choices are pretty limited. Â There's Taco Bell, Wendy's,.. errrr... Well let's just say there ain't much. Â So if I want fast food that tastes better than fast food (say I gotta eat at my desk because I have a deadline, for example) then I head over to El Pollo Loco.
The food is made then and there and it tastes good and "mostly" fresh. Â It's not excessively greasy...
They're fast: Â I drove there and was back at my desk within 20 minutes. Â I just got their Green Chile Quesadilla and it hit the spot. Â Now I can crank to finish that deadl...
What the f**k am I doing yelping this when I have a deadline?!?!
