El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant

My favorite Mexican restaurant in north Georgia.

I went to El Pueblito just a few nights ago and really enjoyed it. It's pretty much just a standard Americanized Mexican food restaurant..not that it is a bad thing at all.  The cheese dip and salsa are both awesome, and their food was super fresh and hot which I appreciated. They also have a full bar...I had a frozen peach margarita and it was amazing. Our server was excellent and always paid attention to us, even though it was super busy. The restaurant itself was very clean and well decorated. The only thing I dislike about  this place is the parking. On a busy night, you'll probably have to park and walk a small distance. Will definitely be back!

El Pueblito has been a standby for many morning hangovers, long nights of dancing, and general munchie moments.

My fave dish is the Huevos rancheros, but any of the steak tip dishes are fantastic as well! I also like that the chicken burritos have an almost a "pulled" chicken texture! Additionally, I could eat the guacamole dip for eternity.

However, I find that the dishes are overly salty, perhaps prepared too quickly (and without much thought as to seasoning). I've never gotten out of here without a wicked case of heartburn.  

I could give El Pueblito a better rating if the ingredients were of higher quality and the recipes were better planned. Overall, a decent place to grab a bite in Calhoun!
