Waffle House

It's been several years since I have been to a Waffle House.

There are over 600 of these places. Mostly in the south.

They have redone the place nicely.

The prices are so low that I don't know how they make money.

I was very surprised at the high quality Of the food.

I wasn't sorry

Always real, always good, anywhere. Like any other Waffle House you are greeted by friendly staff who provide great service with a smile. This one on Red Bud Road in Calhoun, GA is next to I75 and appears to have both local and touring traffic. Unfortunately this one is behind an abandoned gas station and next to an abandoned motel that looks like it was hit by a torrnado. In otherwords the neighborhood is really bad and might scare you off - don't let it and you will find great food and service.

I have finally given up on trying to figure out how the cooks at Waffle House hear and remember all the orders being shouted at once. Life is just too short and their job is just to hard to learn. But the food is always great.
