Just cant wait to go back to El Rincon de Gypsy! Saturday night my husband and I spent a wonderful evening at this charming restaurant. The food was wonderful, I had lentil soup, coconut shrimp served with rice and zucchini and we shared a crepe with fruit for desert. Roger was prompt and very friendly, he even gave us a tour of the beautiful historic building, which is decorated in a vintage photos and prints, Mexican art, and features a lot of Frida Kahlo pieces. They also have live music every Saturday, and the guitarists were absolutely fantastic. The owner/chef also came out to greet us and was very sweet and hospitable. The food, ambiance, experience, everything was amazing. Cant wait to go back, this is a real gem in the desert and this will be where I will bring my out of town friends to show them what El Paso/Soccoro is about. Would be great for a family dinner, but it made a great place for a cozy date. My only advice is when you visit...and I know you will, bring a camera if you like vintage buildings and décor! Cant wait to go back in a few weeks when the belly dancer will be performing.
Review Source:Really great new restaurant, beautiful atmosphere and historical building in Socorro. Got a tour of the place from Miss Gypsy herself, great to see such passion and enthusiasm for a new venture. So much potential for the future, great for large parties or even just a quiet date. the food was delicious, spices were on point. Will be back!
