  My family and I have been going here for nearly 40 years! This place has many fond memories! My wife and I took our family here to celebrate our engagement over 28 years ago. Sambre's  is probably the ONLY decent Mexican Restaurant in the whole Midwest. You would think with all the illegal aliens we have in this country, there would be more good Mexican restaurants!

  I've been here a few times with a friend who likes the place.  I find the food a bit bland.  Not bad, just not that flavorful. The salsa looks like ketchup and tastes like ketchup with just a bit of spice.  White cheese dip is okay. Refried beans are dry.  I haven't tried much more.  it might be worth trying once, as my friend likes it.

  This place is horrible! The only people I've ever known to like this place are people who grew up in Clinton.
  The salsa tastes like ketchup and the food is microwaved crap.
  If you're looking for a mexican restaurant in Clinton, El Camino or Los Compadres are very very good as far as Mexican restaurants go. Please don't judge our restaurants by this place. Only the people who grew up here, or have very strange taste, like this place.
