The Electric Bean

okay we do need an update on this place please, thanks for the guy from Milton, had to look that tiny place up on Google Maps a whole 100 miles from us then? wow we do need i think a local look at this place. hopefully my input is appreciated.
   First off i actually was looking for atmosphere more than product. I heard thru my network that if i wanted to hang out at a god centered coffee place that the bean was the place to try, so i tried it.
   Sorry folks, the waitress told me that the church side of this place was old news. yes they do have church on Saturday night's however...
  Dont expect any christian music i mean what i heard might be from a christian but it wasn't anything i recognized.
   The place was quite dark, a lot like a lounge really, there was nothing at all that i could see that was close to being god like. maybe they are trying to be more neutral in welcoming people of all faiths? I mean if they at least said so that would make it cool.
   Okay product, i am a bit... well the man from Milton said i could get my drink in a real cup? the lady sort of looked at me like i was from outer space when i brought this up. nope it was identical to the Starbucks cup we are already familiar with.
  Now i got Chai tea, I tend to get Chai most often, coffee was for when i was just out of high school for some reason i have become rather addicted to Chai i even order it online from Amazon... maybe this barista is new?  no this Chai late' was weak.
  This after setting 3 bucks in her tip jar and paying over 4 dollars for a 20 ounce Chai Late'

   Well, I dont know, I wont totally slam them. maybe i can re evaluate they do have a stage here i wonder if the music on Saturday is any good.
  But what drink do you suggest (hoping you are not from Milton and do know their drinks that are current?) I doubt i will order Chai next time.

The Electric Bean is a Church and Coffee Shop or a Coffee Shop and Church.     While visiting Longview, I have been having a daily cup of coffee at the Electric Bean.
 
Much, much better than Starbucks (they serve Almond so take that Starbucks).   You can also get your coffee in a CUP that is not plastic - yes a real cup.    Then to make it perfect - they draw a design on your drink - something (my opinion) only high class coffee shops are able to do - ask Starbucks and see what you get.  

The biggest problem is trying to find the Electric Bean and once there - parking is "interesting".   The signage is lacking and since it is back from the road it is hard to find - but worth the search.

I understand that they hold services there on Saturday night and Sunday with live music on the stage.   Church - music - and an Almond Mocha.   WOW I am sold.

I've had quite a few different types of drinks there and they've all been good. I love to just go to the barista and say, surprise me. Also, their hot chocolate is delish!
