I love everything about this place.  My go to spot to try a new beer or two and grab a few bottles to take home.

I am a Colorado native and had been struggling to find the New Belgium Lips of Faith, ever evolving, series of barley pop in the PNW. Happily, Elizabeth Station carries the LOF series and much much more!
This is a great place to hang out with friends, is kid friendly (they have a chalk board table, kid friendly food, snacks and drinks), decent food and beer, beer, and more beer!
A recent remodel added a new wine section in the back. Great selection of wine and a really nice tasting room is now part of their beer offering.
The staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.
This is a 'go to' place for me and friends. Great neighborhood feel.
    Only suggestions:
Please lower prices to competitive retails.
Please please add more bike racks for parking.
Keep the special events rolling. Love 'em!

I only go there when I have to, because I work nearby. The only really good experience I've had is the girl who works at the cash register has been really really nice. Other than her, my experiences there have ranged from "eh" to disappointing.

My first experience there was I met a friend for lunch, because I heard the sandwiches were really good. I was NOT impressed. It was very expensive, it was small, and it was dry. I took half of it with me because I had to get back to the office, but I ended up throwing it away. And I don't throw away food.

Nearly every time I go in, I have to ask the price of almost anything I'm interested in, because only a few of their items are priced. Also, their prices definitely run on the high side.

My most recent experience was when I was looking at a brand new meat product they'd gotten in - Bacon & Pork sticks. They came in a huge pack, though, rather than in sticks, and they were priced at $6.69. I suggested they offer samples, and they said "No way! Those are really good! Definitely worth it." I hemmed and hawed, all the while they were raving on and on about how great the product was, and how I definitely should try it and they were selling out really fast. So I finally gave in and decided to take the chance, despite the high price and having no idea what it would taste like since they refused to provide samples.

I took one bite and my first reaction was "eh, it's okay. I don't love it, but I don't hate it." But the more I chewed the same bite, the less I liked it. By the time I got to swallowing it, I didn't like it at all. I tried a few more bites over the course of the afternoon, kind of hoping to coax my mouth into agreeing with the people at the shop. No go. I really don't like them. I offered them to my coworker, and she didn't like them either.

I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to be "that person" who brought the item back, but it wasn't cheap and I hated to just throw all that money away when I hate the product.

Finally I called and explained what happened to the guy on the phone. At the end of my story, I asked what to do, and he said "no returns on food."

    The end. No solution.

I could accept their policy if they were so confident in the quality of the product they were offering that they provided free samples, or sold smaller packages, so someone could try it before committing to a big package. But I just feel like on every end of the situation, they are unhelpful and unaccommodating, putting the needs of the customer last.

In my book, that gets no more than 2 stars.

I went here for the first time yesterday, just to check it out. One of my friends told me about Elizabeth Station this last summer, but I had forgotten about it completely. Needless to say, I was missing out!

I can't speak to the quality of the bar or restaurant section, as I did not try them out. However, the atmosphere is pretty cool, and the gal working at the counter was friendly. I liked that I was allowed to poke around for a while without being asked if I needed help finding something. Sometimes it's nice to just take my time and look around.

Also, I have to say say their bottle selection is really awesome. I have issues with gluten and can't drink regular beer. I'd begrudgingly accepted that the 4-5 gluten free options most stores carried was about as good as it was going to get. Well, I was totally wrong! Elizabeth Station has two whole cooler sections devoted to gluten free beer and cider. I picked up three GF beers and one cider, all new to me, and walked out having only paid $8.  Looking forward to sampling one of my purchases later this evening. :)

As a Canadian I know there are a ton of great craft beer sold in the United States that I can not pick up in Canada.  I was recommended to check out Elizabeth Station by a ton of local Craft Beer nerds.  They stock an amazing selection of not only American Craft beer but also Craft Beer from all over the world.  The price may not always be low but if you are a beer nerd then you understand that the best beer is not cheap!
One thing that really blew me away is that when you purchase your beer you are able to have the staff open a bottle for you and they will give you a pint glass so you are able to drink a bottle at the store at their supplied tables.  What an amazing idea!  I wish our government would think of this idea.  This idea would not be used at a standard beer store but only one that specialized in craft beer and expensive wine.  This way you do not get the people looking to get boozed up on cheap beer and only try beer fans.  Why aim to get drunk when you can aim to drink great tasting drinks.  If you get drunk that should only be a side effect!

Awesome! What a great beer store. If you're looking for unique beer or would just like to try something new, go here! Huuuuuge selection, many flavors of cider as well. They also sell candy, delicious candy. Best of all, you can drink in the store! Love it.

I've been here three times now. I was withholding judgement because so many people love this place, but I can now say I do not like Elizabeth Station. The ordering/payment process is overly complex and verrrrry slow. As much trouble as folks were having getting pints out, I shudder to think what would happen if I had ordered food. You can buy cans and bottles from the coolers to drink there, but they have to be opened and poured by the staff, and there is a $5 minimum on such purchases -- pretty annoying when you are buying a $1.49 cider.

The thing I really hate about this place may be a plus for others -- the long community tables. Once I sat at a small table in the kid's room with two friends, and that was fine. The other two times I met friends and we sat at one of the big shared tables in the main room. On both of those occasions our conversation was ruined by boring, long-winded patrons horning in. Seriously, you can't finish a sentence. I know that's not Elizabeth Station's fault, but it goes with the clientele and atmosphere. If you are by yourself and feel like sharing neighborhood gossip with bearded guys in Boundary Bay hoodies, you may have a better time than I did.

Great rotating taps, incredible selection of bottles and cans, cheap growler fills, and the awesome staff are what makes this place amazing. Sour Mondays and brewers' nights add to the delight. Cannot rate high enough.

I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place! From the outside, you'd expect an upscale local mini-mart. Inside is, HANDS DOWN, the best selection of beer in town and probably between here and Seattle. A wall of singles and tall boys from around the world and local micro breweries. Literally hundreds of varieties. Knowledgable staff to guide you through it. My only complaint is that it needs to be called something like "Elizabeth Station Specialty Beers" because I had no idea what it was until I stopped in to buy a pepsi and walked out with a Hop Juice from Left Coast and a Brasserie de Rochefort from Germany. Seriously, check this place out!

A great little brewpub/ bottle shop that opened up in an old minimart spot near downtown Bellingham. I moved to Seattle before it opened but always stop by when I'm in the 'ham. Multiple coolers of microbrews, imports, wine, bargain priced beer and cider, hot and packaged snacks and a walk in fridge with kegs and packs for sale, with a selection that rivals the biggest Seattle stores. Lots of different styles on tap, with coffee and a section for kids and dogs to hang out. Coffee and cereal are also available. A must visit.

Amazing place. I moved to Olympia a few months after its opening and I feel like crying at the thought that I seldom get to experience this amazing establishment.

It's hard to explain what Elizabeth Station is:

Is it a bar? Yes- there are 5 rotating beers on tap and you can buy a beer and hang out with the rest of the patrons.
Is it a restaurant? Yes- they have really good food (nachos with chili=YUM) and they have a cereal bar. Yup, that's right, a CEREAL BAR.
Is it a store? Yes- you have a good selection of candy/snacks, beer, wine and cider bottles.
Is it family friendly? Yes- you can even bring your kids and puppies (there is a kid table and dog water dish).

The service is awesome. The bartenders are very helpful. The owner is really nice and not shy about starting a conversation with you. The prices are reasonable.

It's well on its way to being a Bellingham fixture!

Can you open one in Olympia?!

Absolutely my favorite place in town.  Friendly staff.  Great ambiance.  Fantastic place to enjoy a beer and a bowl of chili. Most expansive beer selection north of Seattle; five rotating taps that never stand still, an ever changing selection of bottled/ canned beer, and a good wine selection to boot.  Great place to enjoy a beer with both beer lovers and the casual beer drinker.

    Most importantly: Sour Mondays!

Oh my goodness! This place is great. It's a great combo. So many different beers, and a great cider selection, which is my sweet spot.

Also beer and food on tap.  Hard to find candy.  Great iced coffee.
What is not to love about this place!?

Also pretty much every dude who works their is pretty easy on the eyes, in that lovely Pacific North West way.

Stop reading this review and rush down there for a beer on tap, a sandwich, and some time spent finding great bottles and cans for your own house.

I want to give Elizabeth Station five stars because it is amazing, but they are lacking one product that could launch them into Northwest Coast fame (at least, in my books)...espresso-based drinks! They have everything else I love in the world: rotating craft beers on tap, a cereal bar, a broad range of candy, and one of the largest canned and bottled craft beer selections in the Pacific Northwest. However, they only serve filtered coffee, which is a bummer. Before I was lucky enough to explore Elizabeth Station myself, a friend from Bellingham had difficulty describing the store to me: "It's essentially a convenience store, except the proprietor has dedicated 80% of his inventory to delicious, rare beers and meads from the West Coast. Like, you have to look hard for things like milk and bread because there is so much friggin' beer everywhere." He did an okay job of describing it, but it is hard to understand how exceptional this place is until you experience it for yourself. Owner(s) of Elizabeth Station, please enter the realm of a 5-to-6 star establishment by serving premium espresso-based beverages! Please!!!

What a great find! One of the best beer selections in Bellingham. Fresh sandwiches and beer on tap, groceries and unique finds everywhere.

Amazing beer selection.  Rotating taps.  Wednesday brewers' nights.  Cheap pints. Sour Mondays. Good homemade food (sandwiches, chili).  Friendly staff.   What more could you ask for?

Only gripe, seating is limited, but it looks like they're working on it.

They've managed to make a place to go have a beer that makes you want to come back again and again.  This place is great for stopping in, bumping into people you know, getting recommendations from the staff, who somehow all appear to be really friendly and knowledgeable, and just hanging out.

There's a bunch of places you can grab a beer, but this place is cooler.

They'll also fill your growlers, and all tap beers pints are the same price, (at least as of the last time I was there).

Bellingham has needed a place like this FOREVER!

Amazing beer, including tons of random stuff i've never heard of, super laid back, friendly people working there, and tables to sit and enjoy beer i've only just heard about? Perfect!

I only wish they had more food, but that's not really their thing, and more space!
Such a cool thing, glad it's in town.
