Came down to Lasalle-Peru to visit some friends, we came here for drinks on a Sunday night (open 'til 2 AM). Â The whole place is one large-ish rectangular room with a bar along one side. Â Two TV's over the bar and one across the room, both playing sports.
Things it is not: the epitome of elegance (there's a snack vending machine in the corner, the bar itself is very plain wood with corner molding) and quiet (the DJ there that night had a 100 W amp and two event speakers, more than enough power for the bar).
Things it is: incredibly inexpensive (draft Sam Adams' Boston Lager was $1.50!), full of friendly locals.
Apparently it gets very crowded on Fridays and Saturdays, but there were only ~40 people there on Sunday night. Â Overall, it's a slightly dive-y bar but pretty much the average for small town bars (perhaps even cheaper than normal).
