Just excellent.  What a hidden gem in Moorpark. Every single brew I have tried is top notch and the guys that run the brewery are knowledgeable.

Make sure to check their website for the most up to date hours.

So happy to see EBC continuing to grow and expand!  Joe, Chris, and Matt are all great guys, and visiting the brewery is a really fun and unique experience.  Highly recommended for anyone that likes beer or cool machinery.  Cheers!

This was our first stop (and by far my favorite) on our beer tour. This nanobrewery has everything you are looking for in any size brewery. Great beer, nice people, and did I mention great beer?

For being such a small operation these guys can pump out some amazing brews. Each beer had a distinct taste to please any beer drinker, and they were all very good.

I also appreciated that they took the time to talk to people about their process (totally automated, and they did it all themselves. Badass!) My boyfriend is really into homebrew and these guys inspired him to consider nanobrew.   They answered his questions, and took the time to really explain their whole process. Not many breweries would do that.

I wish I lived closer so I could support these guys, but trust me, they will be on the top of my recommendation list.

Found out about this brewery at the 2011 Malibu Beer Festival.  They had their IPA on tap at the fest and of all the beers there, they stood out.  Fresh, crisp, dry, and the IBUs off the charts!  After the fest, I looked them up and found them in Moorpark.

About six months later, I had the opportunity to drop in during their odd hours and try some of their other beers.  This is a small operation with very friendly brewmasters brothers, Chris and Matt.  Once a week they invite a Custom Melt to cater food to the beer-lovers that attend the brewery.  Prices are decent and go well with the beers.  Often new beers are announced at these events.

All of the beer is handcrafted and well thought out.  These guys know what they are doing and they do it well.  Bought my first ever growler here and have had it filled a few times already.  I sure wish they were closer to home!  Cheers!

This place is awesome.  My wife and I stopped by to check it out before dinner and we ended up staying over an hour just talking and trying their beers.

The place was clean and everyone was extremely friendly.  We will be going back as much as we can.

A hidden gem for VC craft brew lovers! The best place for excellent beer. I am a huge fan of their IPA and my husband loves the oatmeal stout but all their beers are very tasty. Just tried their special release black IPA. Can't wait to fill my growler. Stop by to be wowed by locally brewed beer.

Moorparks hidden gem.  Having been to many brewers up and down the west coast, this place holds a special place in my heart.  I really think they will be in a very different place in ten years.  The quality of their beer is top notch.  The nicest people who are humble and always willing to talk.  All around 5 star production.

Great little spot, especially in small town Moorpark! In an industrial area, but once you walk in, you forget where you are. Great small rustic tasting room. And I love the story about these engineers students brewing in college - the rest is history. Looks like they are starting to have a local following..and I see great things happening in the future for them. The biggest plus - I can walk there from my house. Yeay!

Fantastic beer. If you're ever thirsty in the Moorpark area, you owe it to yourself to try this place out. The only downfall is they aren't open daily for tasting! The brewery is extremely clean, and the Valkyrie ALT is fantastic! You can tell that Matt and Chris are very passionate about what they do, and it shows in the quality of beer they produce.

So far Enegren is the first, and only brewery in Moorpark, and being that they are less then 10 minutes from my job, I made it a point to start following their blog early last year, during their contstruction phase.

Three young guys are the owners, Chris Enegren his brother Matt Enegren, & their mutual friend Joe Nascenzi.  All three are very down to earth guys, each with unique talents beyond brewing that they have brought to the business (Engineer, Accoutant, & Marketing majors respectively)

Enegren Brewing Company has been open now nearly a year, and going strong, growing slowly, but an increasing pace. So far I've liked what they have brewed up. Their brewing system is unique too, as they use a sort of Ipad like touch screen, which is a 3D representation of the system.

So far they have two regular offerings. Protector, which is a Imperial IPA, and Valkyrie, a Alt beer, the latter of which is so far my favorites of the regular lineup. Some variants of each have been made as well (Vanilla bean, oaked, hop project) They have had some seasonals as well.  Captain's summer session, a blonde ale (great during the summer)  foliage pale ale, their fall seasonal, Golden Spur, a Saison, is their spring seasonal, all three of which are solid. My favorite seasonal is the winter one, Daniel's Iron's Oatmeal stout.

Small space, but clean and nice, and everything is new of course. Tasters & growlers are available at the brewery too. If you're in the area, check these guys out, and keep an eye on them.

I was in town visiting my girlfriend and I stopped in to sample the stuff while she was busy.  Last time I was in town I was had a guy at BevMo recommend a bunch of  local IPAs for me and some of them were just plain bad, so I was excited when my girlfriend told me about this place.  Everything I tried was pretty straightforward, nothing groundbreaking, but it was all good and well made.  The guy working wasn't much on conversation, but the other 2 patrons that came in while I was there were pretty cool.  I'll probably be back next time I'm in town.

"A hook must not drop a purse. A hook must not fail" -- words of wisdom from these fine gents!

If I ever am in the area, I would love to come in...drop my purse on a hook and have some samples. Thanks for making me laugh with your blog.

Great beer, innovative "bootstrapped" brew startup. These guys are going places. And the brewers are some of the nicest guys I've met - gave us a great tour of the brewery and process. I wish we lived closer! Do yourself a favor and come visit, you won't be dissapointed.

Delicious well-balanced beers with high abv at $1.25 a taster. Can't go wrong.

Right now they are a small start up run by some friends on the weekend who just loved home brewing enough to take it to the next level. Tucked away in an industrial park they offer 3 or 4 of their beers on tap and all were delicious.  I had the valkyrie altbier, the protector imperial ipa, and the golden spur saison.  Everyone was a great representation of their style, well balanced flavors, and a lot of taste.  If you are in the area and you like beer, check em out.  They are all super friendly and will talk about brewing as much as you want to.

My wife and I are both commercial winemakers and brewers, we recently had the PLEASURE of tasting Enegrens IPA "Proctor" and we were both impressed from the first pour. Chris crafts a WONDERFUL microbrew. Nice complexity, balanced and food friendly. It pours a beautiful copper color, with  nice citrus, herbal and hoppy characteristics upfront and a nice long malty finish "GREAT job guys"
This is a must visit microbrewery on the Ventura county brew scene.

    Live Happy!

Awesome brewery! Very small but good beers. Friendly owners, they will answer any question. No food, just a straight up brewery.

These kids are growing and learning as they go and it's great to be there and watch. So in 5-10 years I can say, I was there!
    The 3 Brewskateers!
Their growlers are of the highest quality. I am a huge fan of their Protector. If I could have an I.V. set up to 5/m slow drip I would.
Their other beers are coming along. I believe that in one year's time with a little tweaking of their recipes they will have many new winners.

For the Power and Glory of Beer I go!

(Note" 4/5 stars was given due to their newness and currently limited selection....Everyone needs a goal!)

Got a preview today. Their Imperial IPA is on tap and full of floral hoppiness, but with a touch of sweet malt. Tasted the Valkyrie straight out of the fermentor - perfectly smooth, and tastes like MORE. I can't wait until I get my first growler... Or three...
