I'll start off by saying that the place looks pretty nice inside. I came in for the first time a few months ago for dinner. Â The menu looks great and they advertise "award winning" food. Â
Everything we ordered was bland. Â No flavor at all! Â The servers were fine, although we were the only people in the dining room at 7pm. Â
Friends asked me to go back again this week. Â Again, we were the only people in the restaurant at 6:30pm. Again, bland! Â We ordered three different things (fish, steak, chicken) and everybody complained about the same thing - no flavor.
The food is pretty expensive for Fall River and certainly didn't taste award winning.
Won't return!
First of all we weren't there to dance, just to eat and it was fairly early so it was quiet.
My girlfriend took me to dinner there a few nights ago. Â When we walked in I was impressed by the atmosphere. Â Niceley decorated and looked like a very comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Â The menu looked interestering and food we ordered was a bit overpriced for what it was, but tasted good. Â Two entrees and three cocktails were about $60 + tip.
Unfortunately the staff was a bit unprofessional. Â It was a snowy night and other than another small group we were the only people in the place. Â We were seated at a table that seemed to be in the middle of the place, close to the entrance to the club? Â A waitress decided to polish silverware at the table next to us. Â Taking one untesil out of one bucket...polishing, then CLANK...into the next bucket. Â Over and over again...CLANK Â CLANK Â CLANK. Â Then it seems the staff liked to congregate in that area, having personal conversations, laughing out loud. Â At one point I counted seven employees including what seemed like a manager all chatting and laughing it up about five feet from our table. Â Various employees sitting at another table across from us having a phone conversations, etc. Â Our waiter was very attentive and polite but all of that activity was very distracting and made us feel surrounded and uncomfortable.
Maybe on a crazy busy night it would be less noticeable but it was enough to turn us off from returning. Â On a positive note the food was very good, I'd call it upscale Portuguese food, and the Espresso Martinis were quite good.
Hey everyone, This is a great restaurant if you like Portuguese food! We had the Portuguese steak which was sirloin in a brown gravy that had great flavor also shrimp Mozambique that was awesome. We sat at the bar, Pete was our bartender. He is the best bartender we have had in a while good looking with the personality to match. Oh ya he said I could tell everyone he's single so you all should stop in and try the food and sit at the bar you will not be disappointed. Don't forget to tell Pete I yelped about him and the restaurant he'll get a kick out of it! You will not be disappointed.
