Waterstreet Cafe

This eclectic restaurant/cafe/bar is owner operated featuring excellent live music and generous drink pours. Unfortunately a fire has temporarily knocked out the kitchen, but the owners are working hard to get back on track.including a remodel of "The Room" side.
In the meantime support the live music and excellent bartenders!

The food here used to be delicious. The brunch was classy and delightfully good. Now the only thing on the menu worth getting is the big med salad and grilled pizza. Disorganized management and a lousy chef/kitchen staff are to blame. Service at the front of house is also chaotic and neglectful. However the atmosphere is lovely.

If you're headed for Battleship Cove, this is a good to grab lunch before you enter the park. They have kids' specials for a very reasonable price including a drink and dessert; adults can choose from several sandwiches which have subtle Portuguese influences here and there. Almost everything comes with their version of fries--thick slabs of potato sliced into wedges lengthwise--and a house-made bread & butter pickle.

The interior is a little spooky but clean and the service is a bit slow but friendly. Definitely better than the snack bar inside the park.
