Stopped by with friends on the way home from golfing...don't let the strip mall appearance scare you off! Sit in the grill section and enjoy a fabulous burger, fries are excellent too! Â Side salad very good, beers prompt and if we weren't stuffed, those cheese fries looked really good! The five alarm burger, five alarming delish!
Review Source:Oh Envy's, what happened to you? You used to have the best burger in town with delicious hand-pattied juicy, well seasoned Angus beef, piled high with toppings on a fresh kaiser roll.  You know, the kind of burger you look forward to at the end of a rough week, until last night.  We normally get our food to-go and the quality is still awesome. Last night we were horrified to receive pressed & formed mystery meat patties that were rubbery & tasted worse than bargain-basement breakfast sausage. The toppings on the Envy burger were almost non-existent, and the bun slightly stale. My daughters kid's burger was the same dismal grey pressed & formed abomination. My grilled chicken sandwich was dry, unseasoned, (not even S&P?!) & 1 thin, flat piece of lettuce. Thank goodness the tomatoes were ripe & delicious. The normally scrumptious homemade chips were a mix of overcooked or soggy & under cooked & stuck together. The French fries were sparse. We counted 14 total fries on my daughters plate & 15 total fries on my husbands plate.  To add to the insult the cashier had charged us a "to go" fee of 50¢ per item ordered. When my husband pointed it out we were told it was new & should have been added 1 time for the entire order. This was strange since we always leave a tip, even for takeout. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 out of respect for the great food we had in the past, but I fear this place is trying to cut costs by cutting quality.  And, based on last night, we won't be back. It's a shame since this was our go-to place when it was time to indulge in a burger.
Review Source:Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon with my husband for lunch. He got the Five Alarm Burger while I got a French Dip. My husband enjoyed his burger and thought it was decent; my french dip was pretty good too with their au jus (it's a bit too salty for my taste but not bad) - the fries that came with our food were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with just the right amount of salt/seasonings. We were always kinda hesitant about going here because it seemed a little divey but we enjoyed Envy very much and we'll most likely be back again, since it's very close to our house.
Review Source:The Envy Burger is one of the best burgers I've had. I love the bun and everything in it. The fries are pretty meh, and the clam strips are decent. The service is 5-star worthy though. The servers are friendly and attentive, and they stood up for us and apologized (though it wasn't their fault at all) when a guy walked in and started being belligerent because we had requested a game other than the Huskies' (which was showing on multiple larger screens on the bar side). Friendly servers and a rude customer is better than the other way around.
Review Source:What a great place. Sit on the grill side, the bar side might be a bit seedy for you.
Excellent service and good tasting, fresh inexpensive food.
The double burger is too big for me, but the 20 somethings in the place enjoyed them immensely.
We had the southern steak sandwich and the Friday special Fish and Chips. Both were big, fresh and hot.
Good selection of local beers on tap. Very friendly. Highly recommended.
Wow! Not only was the 2 foot Viking Dog amazing when served on a huge baking sheet pan dressed with house made condiments (the mustard is worth the trip alone!), but with the perfectly grilled hot dog set diagonally across the length of the pan and a whole pound of fries - it was one of the best hot dogs I have ever had. Brought in from a small Oregon meat company, Hill Meats, this meal was shared by the two other friends that came with me, and no one left hungry! They have a challenge also, fastest time to eat the Viking Dog, best time so far was 4:44, I might have to come in and see if I can get my picture up on the wall! We had dinner in the restaurant, and there is a full service bar next door with pool tables and was pretty busy for a Wednesday night.
Great place, seems like it's Poulsbo's little secret. Definitely will be back.
OK. First and foremost this is a local bar. A well established eatery with daily specials: MON - Meatloaf; TUE- Tacos; WED - BBQ Ribs; and THU- Steak. All reasonably priced and tasty. Also, they serve a lot of Breakfasts. A full service bar with friendly bartenders with Happy Hour and drink specials complete the package. Additionally, there are a few pool tables, a dart board and Karaoke on Thursdays (with girls 1/2 price drinks after 9pm). DJ on the weekends. This is the "new and improved" Mucky Duck and the place has a new fresh feel and appearance. A go to place to relax or celebrate with friends.
