Ernie Risser's Family Restaurant

Rissers is in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country, and if there's one thing they do right, it is comfort food. This is a little diner with all the standard fare, eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast, etc...with a few added specialties, including chipped beef gravy and sausage gravy casserole. Their shining dish, however, was the Autumn pancakes, which are pumpkin pancakes with apple slices baked right in. Delicious.

The building is a basic metal diner car with a large dining room added on the side, which is nice to have the option of what atmosphere you'd like. We also tried the eclaire on the way out, which was gigantic and tasty. The coffee left something to be desired, but we certainly weren't expecting anything fancy.
