I had the Esparza fries.  Very good.  Guacamole is the frozen kind, but in the middle of nowhere, you can't really expect an avocado tree to be close by!  The carne asada is awesome!

Excellent bacon cheeseburger combo, great last stop before Death Valley; unless you count Rocky's general store in Ballarat, which always serves great conversation

So here is the story: it's morning, I'm on an epic motorcycle roadtrip to Death Valley, we stop in the beautiful and legendary industrial city of Trona, CA. We needed some fuel for the bodies, so we opt to find the best of the best of but a few places here to eat human food in Trona. So we find it, it's Esparza's and oh my were we happy to eat. My constituency and I elected for the fabulous 3 meat burrito, which we not only survived with no issues, but thrived happily! It was satisfying, the refills were free (at least for me), and the staff, ambiance, and experience was positive! Thank you Esparza, for fueling us for the 300 mile on road off road tour!

Ate here last week. Ate here twice a year ago. Have had both the Mexican and the Sandwiches. Both good.
Located in the lobby of a 1950's movie theater. I think they should consider using the theater space for poetry readings or music performance, or something.
    Highly recommended.

Great place to eat in Trona. The prices are average, and the food is good. I like their mexican food, and my wife enjoys their sandwiches. Stop in and support these guys!

So, you're in Trona... likely just driving through.  If you're hungry, simply can not wait any longer, and want to help out a local business, this place is worth it.

The location is in town a bit so you have to turn off the main road, but it's just 100 feet off it.  The restaurant is in the old Fox Theatre building and the pictures inside show the history.  Pretty neat.

It appears to be family run and the girls who take your order, bring your food, and get you refills are top notch, all smiles, and very pleasant.  The place is well kept and quite clean, the tables were all clean and the condiments and dishware spotless.

The food was pretty good.  Nothing life changing, but quite good.  I ate 3 meals here over the weekend and had a burger and a taco, a chicken sandwich, and the trucker breakfast.  Again, nothing amazing, but the food was all freshly prepared, hot, good and filling.  Something to note if you get a mexican option, I asked for the taco to be spicy and the hot sauce they use for spicy food is really spicy to where I could barely finish the taco due to the burn.  The soda is properly mixed (a pet peeve of mine) and the one blended drink a friend got wasn't too shabby.

So, if for whatever reason you need to partake in food while in Trona, be sure to go here.  The people working there are great and want you to have a good meal.  The food is good, and the price is fine.  I hope this place does well as so far they really are!
