Lazy Lynden may leave you lingering in line at the hostess stand for a long, long time - looking out from the bakery sipping pop and chewing on some sort of pastry. Then, be scolded by another employee for being so lazy. Entertaining. Â :)
Seriously though.... The food was excellent, service too.
I don't expect Lazy Lynden will be an issue for you... She'll be "working" elsewhere I'm sure.
Stopped here with my mom for breakfast on our way to Bronner's two days before Xmas. There was a big party going on in the back, so the parking lot was packed, leading us to believe this place we'd never been before would probably be good.
And good it was. I worried after stepping inside that maybe they wouldn't be the kind of place that would let me get al egg white omelet, but when I asked they happily whipped it up for me even though it wasn't on the menu.
Service was great and fast.
A nice breakfast stop when heading out shopping in Birch Run.
Make sure you ask for your American fries extra crispy, though. If not they are bordering on raw.
Great place to go for breakfast while travelling on I-75 going north in Michigan, just get off at the Birch Run exit and turn right and right there on the left is the restaurant. Â You can choose buffet, which I don't usually like because you tend to over eat, or items on a menu. Â The buffet usually is the same all week-long, the salads look appetizing, but to me that's it! Â The waitresses are nice and the service is also good. Â Going into the bathroom is a disaster at times, depends on whether or not it was recently cleaned. Â Therefore, I am uncertain how the kitchen is cleaned. Â All in all a decent restaurant, especially for breakfast.
Review Source:We were on a weekend get-away and stayed at a motel very close to this restaurant! Bakery, Fudge shop, Gift Shop and Restaurant in one place!
You can eat from a Buffet or menu and several "Specials" to choose from. We both had the Seafood platter and after the salad bar; which is included in the meal price, we were both almost too full to eat our Entree'!! The Seafood Platter includes 2 pieces of battered cod, breaded shrimp & the BIGGEST clams I have ever seen - and I worked in a seafood restaurant in Florida! Service was EXCELLENT and the waitress was VERY attentive.
When paying the bill; we showed the cashier our hotel key card as suggested by a hotel room leaflet , and got 10% off our bill!
It seemed as if a lot of "Locals" were there so, you know it's a good place to eat!
