I am so happy that my friend and I took a little turn and got onto Business 13 and stopped at the Exmore Diner. Â It returned me to the 50s and my teenage years with its appearance. Â It is small and nostalgic. Â It is very up to date with the quality of service and the taste of the food. Â I had a crab cake sandwich and french fries. Â That crab cake sandwich is worth a review in itself!. Â the fries were not over salted- which is a healthy note. Â The portions were generous, the price was very reasonable, and the servers were well schooled and very efficient..
My only regret is that I live in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania and that is a long way to Exmore VA
As someone who grew up in a region full of old-fashioned diners, The Exmore Diner was a welcome sight on our trip up to Chincoteague Island. From the neon sign and clock on the outside to the cozy interior with the long counters and spinning stools, I knew I was in for a treat.
The service was friendly! I was impressed by the variety of selections in the menu, though from what I gathered beforehand, I had to get some seafood. My main dish was crab cakes, green beans, sweet baked potato and corn bread and, let me tell you, I can't register a single complaint.
If you're heading up or down the Eastern Shore, you can't miss this place.
