I'll definitely admit that Falls Bar is perhaps one of the nicest bars in Thunder Valley. And with that said, I wanted to try something other than my typical drink session at Mingle. I've stayed away from Falls during the club transformation at night and  instead went on a Saturday afternoon. We were the only two people at the bar, which made for quick service. I left my drink up to the bartender. I said anything with vodka except a vodka cran or a bloody marry. The bartender looked at me crazy as if that's all you can do with vodka. I went with a vodka cran and that was my new, ambitious drink. Nevertheless, the bartender was friendly and quick with the drink order. Falls is nice and does have that amazing chandelier and has a nice, dark lounge feel to it even in the day. However, I would definitely skip Falls at night and go in the day for a drink, but as suspected, I'l be doing most of my drinking at Mingle.
Pros:
+ Fast service and plenty of room during the day
+ Lounge with plenty of seating
+ Reasonable drink prices
Cons:
- Bartender
Bah ha ha ha ha...wait...ha ha ha ha ha ha!
I live in Los Angeles, so the night club/bar scene is something I am well versed in. Â So, when my date wanted me to get all dressed up so we could go to this bar-turned-club with his friends AND help set his friend up with some ladies, I all about it. Â What can I say, I'm a giver.
As we pass the security at the entrance, we see his friends (all in their late 30s, early 40s) I am ushered to a seat right by the door with a view of the bar and most seating/dancing areas. Â It was at this point where I realized that my fat ass was quite possibly the hottest female there. Â I was horrified at the all the violating sights (all of which can not be unseen). Â
The drinks were weak, the music was from some sort of ready made DJ disk playing on autopilot and there were older women literally throwing themselves at any man that walked by. Â It was quite sad. Â It was so disheartening, I told my date that I couldnt in good conscience even attempt to set up his friends with any of the creatures in that place.
I'm actually strongly thinking of relocating to the Sacramento area. Â Falls Bar will not be one of my hang outs.
One of the bars at the Thunder Valley Casino. Â It is located next to the tables near the buffet area. Â Went inside to grab a drink before we hit the Friday Night Crab feed. Â I like the shape and layout of the bar. Â Shaped like a circle, the bar is placed in the middle while the perimeter is lined with comfy couches and chairs with small cube tables for your drinks. Â Great place to get away from all the slots and tables where people can hang out, watch sports on the LCDs that surrounds the lounge, and have a few drinks.
SERVICE:
As soon as we plopped on the seats at the bar, the Bartender acknowledged us and got to us as soon as he got done serving drinks to his last customer. Â Drinks came out fast and good. Â No complaints here.
BOTTOMLINE:
Secluded bar from all the tables and slots. Â Eye candy all around. Â Drinks relatively cheap compared to how much a person regular pays at a club. Â If I have to choose a place to drink at THUNDER VALLEY, I would go here.
i'm not fully reviewing the falls bar which i think is pretty decent for a casino bar. this is directed at the mingle bar which is the newer one in the casino.
the first time my friends and i went there it was soon after it opened. the bartender was awful. he started my drink and let it sit in the ice while he made drinks for 3 other people before remembering mine. that said, my drink tasted like water.
my friends and i went again for new year and had another bad experience. my boyfriend noticed the same bartender who sucked from the first time and we tried to avoid him and get service from another bartender. what happened was he finally noticed us and i ordered 3 shots of patron. the total was $34.25. i was shocked at the price and assumed it cost that much because it was nye and maybe they inflated the price? i didn't notice until later that GREG A. charged me for 3 shots of patron and 1 patron platium for $12.50. not cool. when my friends and i were about to cheers, the 3 of us noticed that our other friends who got their shots from another bartender had a lot more liquid than we did.
seriously. fool me twice. i'm not going back to mingle bar. greg is a horrible bartender and there is definitely no excuse for him to still be there for so many months and being horrible with customer service (the falls bar bartenders joke around and smile) and an inability to press buttons on a computer or make a simple martini.
an appealing circular structured bar with a good amount of seating and many flat screens all around. bar is right in the center.
during the week days this place is a place to just hang out and mingle but on saturdays the bar becomes a semi-mini club. disc jockey, and go-go dancers.
two entrances, one on each end. when the place gets too crowded the securities limits the go-in, btw be prepared to show proper identification even if you showed it coming into the casino.
the prices for drinks are fair, in my opinion. the price you pay for a drink here is worth it because for the same price at a club you'll get less alcohol.
Nice looking bar with lots of tv screens. The bar is circular and has both bar stool seating and lounge type seating. They also have a snack menu which includes wings, potato skins, zucchini sticks etc. We tried the hot wings and the potato skins, the wings were not that great, not crispy more on the mushy side but the skins were awesome with cheese and green onions. The bartender also made me a mean Patron margarita, huge and for $8 pretty much a steal. The website indicates DJ dancing on Fridays and Saturdays so maybe we'll make it back out there again to check it out.
