I love the Strikes in Elk Grove, so I thought this would be similar.
Honestly, this place is filled with annoying teenagers. Even at the front counter, the guy seemed a little immature. Not rude or anything, just immature.
The shoes here seem to run about half a size larger than usual, but I was too lazy to get another pair so I just wore them. The shoes I had looked like a dog's old chew toy. No. A bear's old chew toy. When shoes get to the point where half the color part is ripping and peeling off, and the canvas layers are exposed, it's time to buy new shoes.
This place wasn't the best. I'm never in this area anyways, so I'm not sure if I'd ever come back.
So where to start with this place. Â So I decided to take that family hear after I heard about his place on groupon. Â (Didnt purchase groupon)
First impression, look really cool as we walked in. Â Has a decent size arcade.
So we get up to there center to purchase game, first thing I notice is employees standing around talking with each others working as they see fit. Â The line was farely long. Â Another customer and I were actually talking to each asking if they notice us standing there. Â I finally get to the counter and I tell the guy we have never been here and had no idea of what to expect. Â I pretty much got the are you stupid look. Â I told him how many people were in our group which was 3 adults and 3 kids. Â He told me the prices and that was the end of it. Â I was instructed that I had to pay for my toddler, didnt understand at first but I did. Â I paid for him and rented shoes, turns out they dont even have shoes in his size. Â Guess it was just easier to take my money first then have to refund me for it, then take a little extra effort and help a guest out
So then we finally get set up and we go play our game. Â We did have a lot of fun playing the game. Â First problem came when a employee came up and took one of are kid balls, because someone else needed one and they had no more. Â Didnt even ask he just pretty much took it. Â So we continue to play on when my wife realizes that my kids are leaning against a wall that looked like it had chew spit all over it. Â
So we finish our game and decided to move our fun to the arcade.  I bought some tokens not realizing that a majority of the games you have to have a card instead of tokens. Even though they all have token slots.  After realizing this, we were speaking with what seem to be a manager or maybe a game mechanic because that is what he was doing.  Long story short I asked him what I needed to do to get the tokens I bought on the card or how I can exchange them out.  He informed me that there is a sign on the token machine and that they dont exchange them and that I was stuck with them.  I told him that obviously didnt see the sign and I needed to do something because these tokens were no good to me.  He told me he wouldnt do anything.  It wasnt that until I said your ripping me off and its not right.  He slammed the game door shut and mumbled some stuff and walked over to the game counter after making some faces.  I finally had enough of being treated like I was putting people out of there way and lost my cool and said something that I am not proud of as slamming the  tokens on the counter and telling him to keep them and walked out.
Over all this place lacks professionalizm and customer service skills. Â I spent a decent bit of money and really feel like I got treated like garbage. Â If this is how people get treated on a regular basis, I am curious how long it will last. Â We will not go back to this place. Â Maybe we will check out the other location. Â Who knows maybe the employees actually care about there jobs and the people who come in to pay there paychecks.
We had a groupon coupon for $25 we had 2 hrs of bowling for 6, a lg pizza and 2 pitchers of soda. We had a wonderful time and the employees were helpful and nice. We went on a Friday at lunch and it was very crowded. Some of the lighter bowling balls were hard to find since there were tons of kids. But we had a great time!
