I was very excited for our wedding reception, but at the end of the night, I was left a bit disappointed.

I spent hours working on the timeline for the reception and went over the details with Ron about 4 weeks before the wedding. He seemed to understand the timeline and the timeline was self-explanatory. However, during the reception, things did not go as planned, which was forgivable. I wasn't expecting everything to run on schedule.

The problem was that there were lulls after each "event." After the first dance, there was a period of silence, as well as after the slide show, and after the cake cutting, and speeches, etc. We had advised Ron that it was okay for him to try to get the dance floor going as soon as the reception started because we knew the receiving line would take awhile, but he only played background music. My timeline asked that the family be introduced with our parents making a speech before the bridal party was introduced, but we were all introduced at one time, so there was an awkward transition from intros to our first dance.

Because the timeline wasn't followed, all of the important events were squeezed in together. We kept having to empty the dance floor every few songs, which was horrible because everyone would start having a good time and then they'd be rushed off.

I'm not even going to mention the horrible time we had trying to get the slide show to work. Good thing my bro-in-law was there because it didn't seem like it would have worked otherwise.

In the end, Ron played an extra hour at no extra charge. Think he may have known the night didn't go as smooth as planned. I did appreciate that Ron did get the party started towards the end (an hour before finishing) and that he didn't charge us for the extra hour.

My husband and I were married in April 2010. We hired Ron about a month before the wedding due to our other DJ backing out.

Ron was fantastic! He knew how to get the party rolling, and stay rolling! Ron is very up-to-date with new music, as well as informed on classics. He helped us pick out music for our bridal party entry, parent entry, etc. The venue we had our wedding in (LNI) said they had good experience with him before, and they were right!

Gotta try his NEWLYWED GAME! It was fantastic and the crowd just loved it. It was a huge success!

Ron is just an awesome, all around great guy who won't let you down. Calling other DJ's, Ron was about 1/3 the cost other big companies wanted to charge us. It also helped that our wedding was on a Friday, but still other DJ's had high prices compared to him.

He saved us, we loved him, and no doubt in my mind he did a better job then probably anybody else we were considering. Having a good DJ for your wedding is so important, and he did not let us down one bit!

I never got to say goodbye that night after the reception, but I hope Ron knows WE LOVE HIM and want to THANK him for his great work! Rest assured, next time we need a DJ for anything, he will be the the person we will be calling!!!
