This was the worst meal I have ever had. My boyfriends salad had no dressing. My daughters liguine and clams  tasted like dirt, my penne with mushroom sauce tasted like beef broth and had no seasoning, and my boyfriends veal parmesan had no flavor what so ever. They had the manager come over and he replace my daughters meal, sent back my meal and my boyfriends meal because they were so bad. They still had us pay for our salad and both me and my boyfriends meal which cost $70. I will never go back to this place. Dont try it, you will be very disappointed!!!
Review Source:Very delighted with our dining experience this evening at The Place! Â This restaurant was recommended to us by someone in our family. Â We were told we had to take them along when we went. Â Well we were driving through Roseville this evening and hadn't eaten yet, so pulled in and said let's give it a try. Â So yes now we are in trouble, because we went alone. Â We were greeted at the door by Eric. Â A very nice man, and we truly felt welcome as soon as we walked in. Â Our waitress Mikela was extremely helpful and very pleasant as well. Â The atmosphere, the music, and the food were truly amazing. Â And we were told next time we will not just be guests, but we would be family. Â I love this old fashioned feeling, that has been lost in so many dining experiences! Â We will definitely be going back!!
Review Source:Very nice authentic Italian gem in downtown Roseville. We had the Mike's Big Balls, 2 meatballs for appetizer, very good, not spicy but very flavorful and excellent sauce. My wife had the Broccolini Alfredo, I had the Green Monsta chicken pesto pizza. The alfredo sauce was just awesome, without being too rich, the chicken and broccolini fresh, the pasta perfectly al dente. The chicken on the pizza was not dry, like some can get, the pesto was fresh and flavorful, and the crust was not too thin or thick and perfectly done. The portions are good sized, we both took half our entrees home. (the pizza is about 10-12", easily feeds 2 or 3)
I finished with a small cannoli. We both loved it, and my wife is Italian yet doesn't usually care for cannoli. She had the zeppole and it was huge and very well made. We brought home a bunch of biscotti, too!
Quiet time seemed to be Sunday lunch, when we went. They do get a lot of families around 4 and on, with children.
They have a live piano player and accordion on Fri., Sat. nights from 5-9, and playing a lot of 50's-60's Sinatra style music, giving it a really nice ambiance. Fully stocked bar, and lots of tables.
We will be making this a regular Sunday thing!
