The Hispanic manager wants to start hosting a Latino night every weekend. This will be the downfall of Opera House. IT IS A COUNTRY BAR! If it is allowed to happen it will turn into every other ghetto infested bar in old Roseville. Speaking of the manager: He is a very cocky (short) Hispanic male who is incredibly full of himself. He did a wonderful job (or rather his workers did) constructing the bar because it is absolutely beautiful, but he is HORRIBLE at managing. He has no clue what it takes to run a bar, is EXTREMELY inappropriate with all the female workers and lets his ghetto Hispanic and African American friends in for free with VIP tables who trash up the place just with their presence (he also lets his friends be nasty and inappropriate with the female workers and allows them to do drugs in the bathroom). He needs to be removed... IMMEDIATELY. The bar should be packed on the weekends and if it were run properly it would be, however, the naive owners are trusting the manager and he is running this place into the ground. The prices are also too high for old Roseville. The outside balcony is amazing but they need tables and chairs out there and also need the cocktail waitresses to go out there to take orders. The acoustics are horrible as well and need to be reconstructed. All in all it is a beautiful bar but some major things need to happen in management in order for this place to thrive and not turn into a ghetto dump. I have it three stars because the bar is beautiful, the girl workers are all great and beautiful and there is plenty of room for dancing. My rating would be a five if the manager is gone and a capable one takes his place.
Review Source:The best thing about this place is the hot bartender/waitresses (especially that blonde--MY GAWD!) , otherwise it's pretty mediocre. Drinks are reasonable, but there's very few places to sit and if you pay to get in, you can never leave without paying again. If you want live, country music close to roseville, I guess you don't really have a choice, do you?
Review Source:If I were a fan of live country music this place would get a five easily.
The downstairs bar is decent in size and has a lot of western themed woodwork lining the walls. The bartenders are quick and nice and drinks aren't overly priced.
The upstairs has a very large auditorium where live bands play. When I was there that cost $10 to go, it might be free other nights.
Cool to check out if you want a new bar in Old Town Roseville.
