    Delicious!
This is a small town restaurant just like the one I grew up with.  A coworker and I were on our way from Pekin to Bloomington, and I just new there had to be a good restaurant in Mackinaw.

I asked the waitress is there was anything on the menu that was their best thing, and she recommended their sandwich rolls.  It said it was made with a homemade pita, so Julie and I each got one.  It came with their soup of the day (cream of potato bacon) and you could add fries for $1.00.

The soup was good - I thought it needed pepper, but then again I think that every soup needs more pepper.  Julie liked hers as is.

My beef roll was sliced roast beef, melted provolone, onions and green peppers wrapped up in a fresh, crispy homemade pita.  The roast beef was average, but the pita made the whole sandwich.  It was big enough that I should have stopped eating at about 2/3 (it came sliced in 3 sections) but I couldn't help myself and finished it anyway.  Julie had turkey and the willpower to stop herself.

We didn't try any, but they had a board hanging up with at least 12-14 kinds of pie.  I was just too full from finishing the pita.

I will definitely be back - it's worth the 30 min trip from Bloomington on a soggy winters day!

Nice place that we stumbled upon when it started raining and cancelled our outdoor plans. Had the roasted turkey special which came with soup or salad, corn, choice of potato, gravy and stuffing. There was a nice amount of food for $7.95. We also split a piece of chocolate pie. The pie was okay but I didn't like the crust. Wouldn't drive 20 miles to eat here but if I was in the area and hungry, i'd definitely go back.

This is the type of place where everybody knew everybody else in the place.

Yum!  Stopped here on a whim to get out of the rain while on a road trip from Normal.  We both had the Sunday special - roast turkey dinner w/dressing and mashed potatoes.  NICE chunks of turkey and all covered in gravy.  The dressing was really, really good!

BF had the homemade creamy chicken soup which was very good.  Dessert was chocolate pie - filling was good, crust didn't seem homemade and was a little softish or something.

Service was pleasant but the girl seemed pretty new and was a bit slow.
