  Just awesome. From the outside looks one may worry, but the food was truly delicious. I had the shredded pulled pork sandwich.

  This is a great BBQ restaurant! The server that we had was very attentive (though we were the only people there at the time), the food was delicious and fresh. We tried to order the pork for lunch but were told that they were still cooking it. If you love BBQ, you have to stop here, as long as you can stand the constant bombardment of hun's, honey's, sweetie pie, etc.

  Fat jacks is a tiny restaurant with a dirt parking lot in the middle of nothingville (well really right off the interstate in baldwin), but they sure as hell know their bbq!  The minute you roll up you just smell smoked meat....mmmm.  They have a decent sized menu.  The pork is really good, but i always get the turkey. One day i will get the fried bologna sandwich!! The turkey is never dry and so tasty, it doesn't even need any sauce.  If i do go for a sauce its usually the sweet.  I always order the turkey plate that comes with 2 sides and texas toast - double green beans all the way.  This will run you around 8 and change with no drink.  These green beans are like a meat fest.  Even the juice they're in is dark, and rich in smoked pork flavor. Best I've ever had and is making me salivate right now!  Ive had the sweet potato fries with the cinnamon butter and they are really good too.  They give you a huge portion of them. The baked beans are very sweet, so if thats how you like them then these are the beans for you.  The coleslaw is the only thing i felt that was a little weak.  It was very thin and watered down.  Kind of peppery too.  The staff is always very friendly when we go and make you feel at home. I wish it wasn't so far from my home because id go all the time to feed my green bean obsession.

  We were tooling up the highway on way to NY and hunger was hitting us like the hurricane we were avoiding. Spotted Fat Jacks on Yelp and there we were. Yummo on the pork sampler which I devoured. Loved the Q sauce big time.

  Hidden gem! I had brisket with their spicy sauce, smoked molasses flavored beans & cole slaw.  Excellent hole in the wall. highly recommend. bought some sauce to take home.

  This is the BEST bbq ever!!! Way too good. You couldn't ask for a better bbg place or food. When you're in the mood for bbq then you're in the mood for fat jack's!

  This is how BBQ and a BBQ joint should be.  Flavorful, juicy smoked meats and no parboiling.  Friendly people, iced tea (sweet & unsweet, lemon available), simple menu of BBQ classics and some fried foods - the fried pickles are fantastic!.  If you leave hungry, you didn't order anything.  Consider sharing an entree as they are generous.  Fat Jacks makes all their own sauces - sweet, mustard and spicy - all 3 are well done. Prices are just right.  My family and I go out of our way to eat here.

  What a surprise! We travel the country every year in search of great bbq and this place ranks high! The sides were even something to praise! Best green beans and banana pudding. Loved the bbq sauces and real smokkey flavor of the pork and turkey. My husband had the pork ribs and could not stop thanking the owners. The wood flavors come through spot on without overpowering the flavor of the meats and the meats were tender and juicy. We'll be back, glad our GPS sent us on the detour!

  When I pulled up to Fats Jacks, smoke was rolling into the sky, from behind the building.   Judging by the smell in the air, someone was creating a bbq masterpiece.  Once inside, I ordered the sliced pork and beef, .5lb of each.   The meats were so juicy, sauce was not required. The smoke flavor was very balenced, not too smokey, but just right.   Out of curisosity, I wanted to try the sauces.  They were very unique and well blended.  The sweet sauce had a hint of maple and the spicy sauce was vinager based.  Both were excellent.   This place is far from fancy, but the food was delicious and I will eat there again.

  We were in the area for vacation and happened upon Fat Jacks Smokestack BBQ.  WOW!!!  AWESOME BBQ!!    If you are ever in the Lawtey area, this is a MUST have meal.  You will not be disappointed!
  
  Fat Jack's Smokestack BBQ has two locations...one in Baldwin on 301 and in Lawtey on 301!!
