Imagine my surprise when I was told the rolls are made off site by a vendor and they are no longer giving them away,,,, 6 are brought to the table,, any extras will cost you a few more bucks,,, the service did improve after I complained.... and was not charged for the extra rolls... however,, new company policy is to charge for any extras...so,, this place is going on my Do Not Visit list....

Fatz is an easy choice because they have a lot of items to choose from, but I don't think their food is that great. It used to be much better a few years ago, but now it just tastes like fake food that doesn't have any thought to it. Today I went and had the veggie wrap for lunch because I wanted something on the healthier side. It comes out and is completely COVERED in oil and/or butter. So much for being healthy! There was so much on it that you seriously could not taste any vegetables. My husband had the shrimp and grits which were equally as gross. They need to step up their game a little bit or we will not be back. The only reason we occasionally stop in is because it's convenient to my work.

I was recommended to try this place by an airport employee and frankly, it didn't live up to its billing. Pretty fast, but I've gotten much better burgers for much less money.

I have been told there is a difference in the Fatz Cafe's and it all stems from the manager's hands.  Apparently this manager was transferred from a different location to the one off of John B. White Parkway.

For those who are traveling through the South or happen to be in town and want something familiar- Fatz is a good place to try.  There are a variety of choices from steaks, chicken, seafood, pasta, and vegetarian.

I usually order one of two things: the top sirloin or the calabash chicken.  First comes the honey biscuits with honey butter. (These little round rolls are to die for and you will eat too many of them so try to contain yourself.)

The salad- I prefer the house salad and like the fat free sun dried tomato dressing.  It comes with cheese, bacon and tomatoes on top.

I order my steak medium-rare and it usually perfect every time. The chicken is also very good and moist.  It comes with a honey mustard dipping sauce, but you can request others.

The sides- there are several to choose from on the menu.  I am a baked potato girl so that is what I get.  Perfect- salt on the outside; butter, sour cream, and cheese on the inside.  My husband gets the steamed veggies which come on a skewer.

The service is friendly and fast.  My meal was around twelve dollars. A good go-to when you are just in one of those moods. Those honey rolls are sure to brighten your day!
