There's a guy on the real foodie website (which I probably can't mention here by name) with the moniker Navalis. He's the one who guided me here and several other good places. He's a good guy to pay attention to.
I drove from Salem, all the way through Albany and south on 99E. In so doing, you will think you've driven all the way out in the country and that you've missed it. You have, but you haven't. Watch for a bowling alley and miniature golf course on the west side of the road. You're there!
Favorite Mistake is a nice sports bar replete with TV screens everywhere. You've probably been in dozens of places a lot like it so I won't regale you with, yet another, mundane description.
I came for the Burgers. I picked a "Spice Up Your Life": 1/2 pound of Ground Beef with Jalapenos, Lettuce, Jack and Cheddar Cheeses and Chipotle Sauce. Hand cut, skins on Russet Fries come with. Trust me, nobody ever looked at one of these babies and asked: "Where's the Beef?"
I asked my smiling server, Ainsley, if they had Malt Vinegar. They do not, but she said they have Fry Sauce! She was a youthful person and, I guessed, a local, so I asked her if she was old enough to remember Arctic Circle Fry Sauce. She said she grew up where AC invented the stuff. Her home town still has an AC and the Sauce. (There are only 4 or 5 of these relics still in Oregon.
The Burger and Fries were very good and very filling. The food and the service she provided merited an Urbanspoon window cling.
I recommend Navalis' recommendation!
