We have been local now for about 10 months....first time at fermins was ok, second time the service was terrible, third time waited for 20 min for drinks. Waitres did not know how to make a chelada??? Â This is texas right! Â Forth and last time tonight.....sat down waitress literraly threw the chips and salsa down on the table and said nothing! Â Waited foe 25 min for our drink order, no one came by our table, heard other people complaining as well. Â Besides the bad service there was chips on our our seats and the floors were littered with trash. Â If i was the owner or manager i would be embarrased! Â STAY AWAY from this place.
Review Source:Ate here for the first time last week and it was delicious!!!
Knocking off a star for service, or lack thereof...
Our server wasn't very attentive and looked like she didn't want to be there (she probably didn't, can't say that I blame her because who just looooves working?) and we had to ask for drink refills, more chips, and then we sat at the table for about 5 minutes when we finished, empty plates stacked and clearly ready for our check. Kept trying to make eye contact or catch her but she avoided us - not the greatest way to get a good tip. We finally went up to the counter to pay, and the hostess had to go hunt the server down to get our ticket!
But whatever.. the salsa was great and chips were probably the best we've had EVER (and we eat a lot of Mexican, trust me...). Generous portions and tasty chicken enchiladas only helped seal the deal that we'll be back... hopefully next time, we'll have better service.
If you're wanting a cute, well decorated place with more ambiance, go to Habaneros. But if you want some of the best chips you're ever going to eat and don't care so much for the atmosphere, then by all means choose Fermin's!
