Found this quaint place on my drive from Dallas to El Paso after searching google for "coffee shops near me." While not a coffee shop (but thanks for trying, Internet) it is a great mom-and-pop casual restaurant. It's about 5 minutes off the highway and serves very simple, good food. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a cup of coffee. The coffee is definitely at least decent if not better and the sandwich was served on thick Texas toast with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and a hint of mayonnaise.
The food alone would probably only warrant 3 stars but the waitress here is a real sweetheart. When I came in I announced that it was probably obvious I hadn't been in before and she offered to let me sit at her table with her! Service was with a smile and prompt.
A welcome reprieve from gas stations and chain fast food when driving long distances. Stop by if you can.
