Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Fibber McGees with a group that lives all over the country. We were very impressed with the menu selections. For a small bar/pub the choices were varied . We all shared  three appetizers (baked Brie, calamari and scallops) that were well prepared with great presentation. The shrimp burger entree was ordered by three people. It is large and served on an egg bun with lettuce, tomato and a side of cole slaw. Excellent. The ahi tuna entree was prepared well  and served with chopsticks. I thoroughly enjoyed the crab cake burger that was also served on an egg bun.  The bar area is small but decorated well and the outside patio is well planned out. The women's bathroom was very clean. Our service from Dana was efficient and friendly. We look forward to returning here when we are in the area again.

Fibber McGees is a great local pub in Sunset Beach.  I've eaten here numerous times, and it's a perfect place to grab dinner and a beer while watching the game.  There are several HD TVs in the dining room, a nice bar with high stools, and a patio.  The owner frequently rotates his taps, and offers some great, ice-cold craft beers on tap.  The menu includes sandwiches, wraps, seafood and pub favorites like Shepherd's Pie.  The food is usually quite good, especially the wraps and pub food.  The bartenders and waitresses are attentive and friendly, as are the local regulars.  If you're using a credit card note that they require a $15 minimum.  And don't worry, they have plenty of bottled beer if you want to stick with light beer favorites.

Not an authentic Irish pub by any means, but reliably good food and usually very good and friendly service.

Well this is a great hidden gem of an eatery. Had blacken scallops with a creamy whatever sauce over penne. Came with soup or salad, I chose she crab soup. Delicious as well. My son had the same. My wife had a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich that looked awesome. The absolute highlight was the desert. A Swiss chocolate chalet which was layered chocolate cake, white chocolate, and chocolate mousse with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and drizzled chocolate syrup. The three of us shared the desert and it was to die for. The restaurant is small so it fills up fast but it's well worth waiting if you must. Great service and nice atmosphere. Definitely a must do in Sunset Beach!
Should be listed under restaurants on yelp because its certainly more than a bar!!! Not one to hand out 5 stars but this one earned all five on this visit, and all for great price too.

    Food Was good
Guinness Was not  Nitrogen was out and beer did not settle.  Bar tender did pour properly but there was no reason to since the nitrogen was empty.  The seating area small and the layout poor.  It was a healthy attempt to make a Irish Pub  but poorly executed the menu was huge .   There was 3 menu items to 1 seat   Staff was friendly and was knowledgeable.
Draft Selection only included one Irish Beer and Finding Irish Whiskey was about the same they had 3 bottles Jameson Bushmills and Michael Collins( which had been there awhile the bottle was a old bottle design)
There was no top end Jameson Or Bushmills
Would have been a good Neighborhood Bar  But NOT AN IRISH PUB.

We stopped back in Fibbers during our vacation in June and August and to our surprise the food was back to being above average to excellent. My wife loves the scallops so much so that it is must stop anytime we visit SunsetBeach. The Reuben Spring Rolls are really good also! As always the draft beer is cold, fresh and crisp best draft on the coast!

Back this past weekend and we tried some entree items at the urging of a friend.  Also did nacho apps and they were much better than before.  Good chips and toppings this time.  Still kinda spendy for quantity.  Got the grouper piccata and baby back ribs which were recommended.  Grouper was spectacular and cooked to perfection.  Table next to us got blackened mahi and it looked very good as well and I could tell it was cooked correctly.  Nice portions of fish on both entrees.  The ribs were just ok and not worth the money.  Beers were as good as ever.  Don't forget to ask for a room temperature glass if you are a beer knurd otherwise they come out too cold for best taste.

A nice, friendly place with really great food and friendly service. The special tonight was fish tacos and they were the best I've had anywhere. The menu is surprisingly large and every meal I've had here was first rate. The beer selection is pretty good too. Five enthusiastic stars!

Not even remotely close to being an authentic irish pub!! If you go expecting Irish food/beer - you'll be majorly disappointed (like I was). Otherwise it's a nice place. But I felt deceived by their name and advertisements making them out to be an Irish establishment. I won't return to this place.

I'm not entirely sure where to start here.

This "pub" is located on the ground floor of a brand new condo complex, and looks every part of it.  Take away the faux Irish paraphernalia all over the place, and the bar, you could actually see the foot print of a ground level condo.

The food is ok, but there's a major no-no here: no fryer.  I get it if Jamba Juice doesn't want to carry one, but a place that calls itself a pub... without fish and chips... or just fries in general.... wtf.  Did you really just offer me coleslaw, or a fruit salad, with my burger?  Wow.  I will say, we had peel and eat shrimp, that was on special, and they were pretty good, along with edamame.  Bet you didn't expect to see that in a review for a place with McGees in it's title... not even curried edamamae to at least try and be Irish.

Beer selection is alright, mixed drinks are ok, and there are a few TVs throughout the space.  It's pretty small, so don't expect much in terms of variety on TV, and thanks to the large retirement community located close by, expect a lot of the Golf Channel.  I was just there for the World Cup final, and there were a group of guys campaigning for the LPGA Senior open.  Thankfully, mob rule kept that from happening.

To be honest, I think this place only stays alive due to the lack of anything else around it.  Don't bring kids, unless you want to see the disappointed look on their face when they find out that their only side option is some type of salad.    Sports fan, might want to avoid it as well, definitely not that kind of place.

Buy a fryer, start serving some Irish pub fare, I might be interested.  Even Houlihan's finds a way pull that off, as far of as stretch as that might be...
